It's Motherwell. The area was 'decimated by Thatcher' in the '80's because British Steel closed the Ravenscraig plant. rolleyes

Brave guy to stand up there.

Nah, its just an area that has its fair share of hard done to nationalists who blame the Tory party and Thatcher for everything.

Can we just give that place independence without a vote please?

I'm very much of the thought that the areas that vote for independence can have independence

Set the central belt free

and the north of the country can stay part of the UK

I think basically they say "Bringing up the question was a bad idea, voting yes will be worse".
Did you see the link at the bottom of that page?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/11049...

Business leaders about to stand up to the SNP.
Burger or any Pro Yes supporter care to comment on these links?

Except, as previously posted, Ravenscraig was closed by British Steel against the wishes of the Thatcher government. Bob Scholey the Chief Exec of British Steel made the decision and announced it without telling the government because, he said, they would have tried to stop him doing it.

Surely they'd rename it the 'Central Strip' or 'Central Bank' and compare themselves to the Palestinians?

Is that because you think we're all poor up here? Presumably unlike where you are?

No ones noticed that Wiggley trawls the internet for all these ridiculous videos and pictures he posts, always selecting the worst ones for maximum effect.

Hi Edinburger.

You never got back to me with what you thought of John Swinney's secret memo. ( The one that says... pensions will be cut, public sector workers cut, defence cut, oil revenues slashed )

Any thoughts?

That's it...try to get us to focus on why he found the video. You are quite pathetic really.

Typical angry nats in that video, don't agree with someone then shout, be abusive and try and stop them from expressing their opinion.

I thought the Poundworld joke was about the currency the Yes voters are choosing to leave behind.
