As someone who could not stand the Blair/Brown/Darling regime it pains me to say this but Darling is a very impressive speaker when it comes to this subject. Prior to this campaign kicking off we were told that 'canny' Alex Salmond is a political heavyweight who will run rings round his opponents. Quite frankly it has been the complete opposite over the past year or so.

Salmond set the tone in his opening remarks. Its a grudge match!

Salmond on dangerous ground with his currency union points. He might be seeking, but rUK is saying no!

Salmond doing his walk forward from the lectern thing again.

He is seeking a mandate to have the Pound Sterling. How would that work then, Salmond?

Likewise.

I'd say he's a far more persuasive leader than Milliband... June 2015 after the election loss?
