It explains why you started another (separate) thread.
It certainly does..... One is mainly about Scottish Independence.....and this one's about press impartiality, or didn't you read the title before replying? Oops, maybe I should have left the BT bit out so there wouldn't be any confusion, or conflation. As you were......

What is there to say? The woman never said anything to the guy, you're the one who has jumped to the conclusion she's a No voter. Maybe she was French? If you hold up an offensive placard that reads "time to rid us of the scourge of the Normans" then perhaps someone is going to be offended? Do you think the response would have been any different if you replaced 'Normans' with something else? 'Muslims' for example? Or 'Scots'?
That's a big "if"...... shall we just stick to definites for the avoidance of doubt? A vicious attack like this goes unreported, or may have been reported to the major news desks across the country and is seemingly ignored by all, where-as proven cheat and liar, Jim Murphy gets a bit of egg on him and it's all over the newspapers.

My point was about the posters here who have tried to silence those with different views by reporting to Mods and asking for banning orders.
Yes well unfortunately being a coward who pretends to be a fence sitter isn't enough to get a ban. We tolerate your drivel....just.

The counter claims from these yessers around the heckling of Mr Murphy is comical. Somewhat insulting to the intelligence though. Also scraping the barrel with the English for Independence, stinks of desperation.

Are you saying that isn't an offensive sign?

The blatant telling of lies like claiming to have evidence and promising to produce that evidence and not doing so isn't enough for a ban either. Luckily most on here can see through his lies like the one where he was the only NO in a room full of yessers so it doesn't matter too much.

Lets be honest, this is nothing to do with Scottish independence. Your using it as a tool. This is about your hatred for southern English/tory/Westminster. Its desperate, sad and boring for the people on this forum.

I would say it's entirely subjective - I myself find Conservative and UKIP supporters to be offensive, but that doesn't mean I can go around knocking them to the ground, especially if they are the age of the Edinburgh gentleman in question does it now? Anyway can we get back on topic? I'm asking why a minor egging gets national press coverage and the sickening attack on an old man goes widely unreported?

Chris how correct you are - this topic has nothing at all to do with Scottish independence and everything to do with press impartiality... Or are you implying that Westminster control the press? (who I'd always thought of as being impartial - well at least in this country anyway) as you were mate!!!...

How exactly did you come to this conclusion? Just spouting a load of bks and saying 'fact' at the end doesn't make it true

The guy in Ayr calling him Jim a traitor at 0:45, next to the green sign. Well that's who reminded my of Fluffs picture on here, assuming that is him.
Not me, too tall. wink

I think heckling is counter-productive with the likes of Jim, letting his lies be heard is the better strategy...

Just out of curiousity, is there any benefit to the rUK if Scotland remains in the union?

Would that be counted or would it be classed as spoiled?
I believe if the intent is unambiguous it gets counted, and that's fairly unambiguous...

...but, the stupid does indeed burn!

And just how many replies in are you before mentioning it? The date was what made me make up my mind to bring people's attention to it.... It's nearly a year since it happened, but it seems the police have more important things on their minds.

Let's cats (oops, cast) our minds back about the woman caught on CCTV dumping a cat in a wheelie bin - within a day or two the footage was released to the public and she was quite rightly named and shamed (as well as prosecuted too for good measure)......

As you were Oakey......

The main benefit is avoiding wasting a shed load of money on separation - though I'm sure the rUK would transfer as much as possible to Scotland (after all it will have the oil to pay for everything, right?). Money that would be better spend by all in the UK on, ironically, all the things the SNP complain about.

It would be a bit sad to lose Scotland don't you think? That actually matters more than the money in many ways.

Just as news emerges that Jim Murphy's "attack" may have come from his own security team, or worse still UK security services, he still proclaims that the yes side are responsible for him having to cancel his 100 day tour.

Whilst in Edinburgh, an old man in his 80's was physically assaulted, suffering a broken wrist and cuts and bruises in the process of campaigning for the Yes side. Yet oddly enough the only newspaper to run with the Story was the Edinburgh Evening News. Link: http://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/scottis...

I hope Edinburgh's CCTV, of which there is plenty of around the Royal Mile is able to be used to identify her, so the police can catch up with this woman and have a wee word.
Very odd phrasing, then, if you knew the assault on the Edinburgh pensioner had happened nearly a year ago. 'As news emerges......Whilst in Edinburgh".

Oh look, here's pcvdriver's daily thread on Scottish independence thinly veiled as a thread about something other than Scottish independence as he's banned from the thread about... Scottish independence.
Wasn't yesterday's thread about Murphy too?
I won't end this post with your usual, "As you were", because in your case " As you were " would mean you posting ANOTHER bloody thread about Scottish independence! If you'd learned to play with the grownups you'd still be allowed to post on the original thread.
