Actually, there has been one in the last 3 years and that was for the SNP and it had a very leading question so was discredited by all polling organisations.

I agree the polls might be wrong as there is no past history to go on but, it is 50/50 which way. They could be wrong in the other direction and Yes will lose big time.

This is the danger with calling a referendum - you need to be sure you're going to win otherwise it can be worse than not having it. When did the LibDems last mention PR?

'We' are the Scottish people.

MANY polls you say?

Show us one, not commissioned by the SNP/YES campaign. Given you say there are MANY, it should be easy.
There are many, many online polls. Have a look at most online versions of newspapers and see the results for yourself...

Wasn't it a yes campaigner that said no voters were bad parents a few months ago Cal??

Short or very selective memory you seem to have...

What?

Why don't I just start citing facebook opinion polls that I start? fk, if I just went with what my facebook said there's about a 90% favour of a yes vote.

Please, come back here after we vote no.

Given that not a single poll has shown YES in the lead, why do you think it's going to go that way?

There is only one place to get a true reflection.

Bookies know their stuff.
You do realise that the odds are only based on the distribution of the bets placed since that was first made, don't you?!

And that by far the greater proportion of bets made in the last month in Scotland have been for a YES vote. By FAR!

Based on what? Do you work for Paddy Power? Are they happy about you leaking that data?

Or

Are you spouting off when you have no information on bets placed at all?

It shows more people prepared to put their money on a no than a yes.

How much are you prepared to wager?

Really - such a system would be awfully easy to manipulate.

Do bookies really take no account of poll results, past form, historical results etc?

I do love the nutters on this thread with there wild eyes and bold statements, will of the people, many on line polls, security services conspiracy. I can only assume life will be very dull when it's all over no rallys an speaches no exciting promises. Whatever the result it's going to be a bit of a let down

I really should apologise for not trawling through the whole thread, but what happens to all those gobby Scots politicians in Wetminster.

Do we finally get rid of them?

And what about the vacant seats? (Not that they are very full anyway...).
