Um because the NHS would use its budget on cosmetic surgery while denying life saving fully tested and worth while life saving treatments for others.

The mail stories are stories spun to whichever version sells papers or gets clicks.

What I'm struggling to understand is that someone shagged that!

Unless it was done with a turkey baster.

Sorry I only skim read it but did the article say that she'd already spent £1000 on clothes for the new baby that she's supposedly going to abort?

You can abort a baby for any reason, not sure why you think otherwise.

You'd hope the Big Brother people would just decide to not allow her on the show after this
Er, no you can't actually, although frankly it is widely flouted and in effect amounts to abortion on demand.

This is what the law actually says:

The Abortion Act said:
Subject to the provisions of this section, a person shall not be guilty of an offence under the law relating to abortion when a pregnancy is terminated by a registered medical practitioner if two registered medical practitioners are of the opinion, formed in good faith -
(a) that the pregnancy has not exceeded its twenty-fourth week and that the continuance of the pregnancy would involve risk, greater than if the pregnancy were terminated, of injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman or any existing children of her family; or (b) that the termination of the pregnancy is necessary to prevent grave permanent injury to the physical or mental health of the pregnant woman; or (c) that the continuance of the pregnancy would involve risk to the life of the pregnant woman, greater than if the pregnancy were terminated (d) that there is a substantial risk that if the child were born it would suffer from such physical or mental abnormalities as to be seriously handicapped
I find her and everything about her utterly repugnant.

So are you saying you have to meet that criteria for an abortion or you don't?

I suspect its more likely the story has been spun that way subsequently but I doubt that is what actually happened.

I am saying that that is the legal situation. Contrary to what you stated, which was, I'm afraid, incorrect.

In fact, having declared publicly her reasons for wishing to procure an abortion she may find it difficult to find two physicians prepared to sign the relevant paperwork as she has revealed that she does not meet any of the legal grounds.

Nice easy hate target. Well done OP. The chances that the DM story is anywhere close to a fair representation of the truth are what 10/1 against?

Please mods, can we have one dedicated thread for idiots who keep falling for Daily Mail 'news' stories?
In which case add one for the Daily Mirror, it's in there as well.

Also the Metro.
