Wow what a scumbag!

bbc said:
Ken Livingstone has been criticised after he encouraged people to make the lives of a government assessors "intolerable".

Last week, the government announced it would send in commissioners to Tower Hamlets Council to oversee how it handed out grants and sold property.

The ex-mayor said people should protest outside the commissioners' homes.

And from The Economist.

The badshah of Tower Hamlets - Lutfur Rahman’s effort to import South Asian political ways to London is doomed

From the sounds of C4 news this evening Trojan Horse 2 is about to revealed in our culturally enriched borough of Tower Hamlets - 6 schools to be put under special measures 4 of them private and one attached to a mosque - exposure to extremism seems the common theme.

Full report out tomorrow.

Smiler.

Caught a piece on C4 tonight about the court case to challenge the results of the last election.

After a quick search, couldn't find anything other than this article.

What was interesting from the article was who was bringing the case to court, a local businessman with several restaurants on Brick Lane.

When asked by the reporter if it was true that voter fraud was rife in the local communities, his reply was yes. Then he went on to explain how it was done.

Considering we can't deport foreign nationals very easily, might be slightly harder to deport a British citizen!

I think some kind of government official would need to do the revoking.

The accusation that he told people that voting any other way would be "un-Islamic" and make them "bad Muslims" could be perceived as racist.

He is essentially saying that no-one else was worthy and the others candidates were inferior because he was a Muslim and therefore superior.

If a non Muslim candidate had said "don't vote for him he's a Muslim and to vote for him would make you a bad Christian/Atheist" there would have been hell up long ago.

One rule for one section of the population and another for those we must not offend is how I see it now, I am fed up of reading/hearing and generally being aware of this sort of thing. People ought to be equal but it seems very one sided sometimes.

I was just coming to post this. Thank goodness sense & justice has prevailed.

All those accounts of people who witnessed the intimidation of voters outside polling stations, what a complete joke it was, and no place for it in 21st Century Britain.

Having lived there for 5 years, Tower Hamlets does not feel like 21st Century, or Britain.

Now they need to work on voting fraud in other cities too.
