Nowt wrong with Goths.fk off! And leave me to my beliefs.
I'm well grumpy now.
p.s Did not the Goths and/or Vandals sack Rome?
Re Rome, the Visigoths sacked it in about the 3rd or 4th century.
The Vandals were the early 1980s

So long as they keep themselves to themselves, don't force their beliefs on me.

Not sure you are right re the Vandals.Re Rome, the Visigoths sacked it in about the 3rd or 4th century.
The Vandals were the early 1980s
They may have been a part of kicking the Moorish (Muslims) out of Spain quite some time ago..

The Goths were also a Germanic tribe.

I'm just saying, the entire premise of this thread (the Trojan Horse plot) has not been proved, so this whole discussion seems a bit presumptuous.
I thought it was pretty straightforward personally. he was asking if there is a structural incompatibility between the muslim belief system and our own.I must admit, i have heard from several people (and confirmed by a muslim friend) that it is the stated aim of many in islam to spread islam and uphold its beliefs at all costs. Obviously some take those aims more literally than others. I would be very interested to hear from those more knowledgeable than i on the subject.
Is there, for example, anything in the koran that would preclude integration and tolerance of other belief systems? from the ground, it sure as hell seems like it.....
Could it just be that they are much better at speaking as one voice and complaining hard and long about ANYTHING that they find offensive (which appears to be everything)

I'd say the issue is Islam vs anything non-Islam.
The west just happens to fall in to the "anything non-Islam" grouping, along with parts of the far-east for example.
(Any place not in green, in my view from what I know about Islam, is that these parts are in "contradiction" to their beliefs).
According to the map "chinese" is a religion. I think they are atheist, aren't they? The west just happens to fall in to the "anything non-Islam" grouping, along with parts of the far-east for example.

Personally speaking,fk integration. Fruitless exercise.
If only we had enough integration to be able to assess that. The latest jape seems to be if anything goes wrong they aren't proper Muslims or they have interpreted the Koran wrong. Yesterday on Radio 4 one Muslim guest was trying to say it's the West fault that Meriam was to be executed in Sudan as the (Muslim) government was based on Western colonialism.
