"An "aggressive Islamist agenda" was being pursued in some of the so-called Trojan horse schools in Birmingham, says a Department for Education report"
Fortunately it was stopped.
Hopefully those naughty radicals won't try that sort of thing again but if they do you can expect the usual suspects to pop along and make apologies.
And no mention of "whitey" in the post either I must have had a makeover oh hang on I just did..damn

Islam is not really compatible with a western Christian state
Thats why the 'reverse-missionary' action is taking place. For hundreds of years the Europeans sent people out into foreign lands to change their belief system and way of life and now there's a little "bounce-back".
Whats the internet word? Oh yeah, "meh"
I personally don't consider the UK to be a "Christian" state in the same sense that (say) Iran is a "Muslim" state anyway. If it were the churches wouldn't be less than 10% full each Sunday.
There is only one way forward from here.

Hopefully that is the giving up of organised religion from all sides so we can just move on from arguing about which set of rules is better.KareemK said:

I'd quite like to see "whitey" (as gpo calls them) do a little squirming for a while now that some religious fundamentalists are over here doing what "whitey" did in Africa/Asia/Every beach they rocked up on for 100's of years.
You need help BTW, and not that its important, but your PH suggests you are a female, is that a correct assumption? Only a veil is a veil be it a garment or an internet name.
No need to answer if you don't want to be "communicative" I can respect that.
I think the general feeling is that shaking off religion in the UK as it did from ( roughly )the 60's onward was a good thing, and one which was thankfully dieing a death. Sadly just as it reached its irrelevance, another one in the form of Islam came along and started growing. Being rather more sick than other religions, it quickly caused problems with its stone age 'thinking' and hasn't exactly proved popular, there being not a single benefit to be had.
You don't have to be that old to remember a time when if you said a cartoon offended you or a novel did the same, anyone with a brain would either ignore you or tell you to fk off and grow up. Replacing one religion with an even more backward one isn't viewed as progress. Don't get too upset if people feel they been dragged backwards.

It's a simple enough question, from your statement it sounds like you do...However, watching one side get all hot-under-the-collar about something that they themselves did for many-many decades I find amusing.

Get rid of all religion I say, every time I ask someone to demonstrate the difference between the stories of Santa and of the various profits no-one has come up with a plausible explanation...
