I think this kid in the USA is mildly terrified of Ebola, especially when his parents played a prank on him by telling him he has it, filming his reaction and posting it online to the world. - http://www.viralspell.com/a-hilarious-joke-or-the-...

Therapy can be expensive and last a long time.

Wonder if he will fall for it twice, they could tell him he's got terminal cancer next. For the lolz.

Already donated to Medecins Sans Frontieres a while back. On the basis that MSF have the most experience in dealing with ebola. They have been on the ground since the start of the outbreak and they are the most successful at treating it (their treatment centers have the highest recovery rate). They also have no political agenda unlike some of the DEC members,
Good on you.

No idea about the politics of the DEC, but I'm sure the advert I saw said 100% of the money would go to the cause. Hope I'm right, it was late at night...

Apologies, I only took a quick look. Assumed their minimum donation was £25. Didn't see the 'choose your own amount' box.

So as well as a potential case in London the below doesn't appear to be showing any signs of slowing down. I think the comment is rather telling.

Im actually amazed no one in London does have it yet considering London is the centre of travel in Europe and quite a lot of the world too.

Especially if you extrapolate that forward by one month, cases almost double by then.

A chap (acquaintance of mine) is flying out to Ghana (for a fortnight) this month. He's not a health worker.

Quiet here, or generally?

Continued cases in SL (http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/nov/10/ebola-cases-sierra-leone-sharp-rise) but nothing in the west for people to panic about. They're re-recording Band Aid in support.
