And he was wandering around for two weeks potentially infecting his family and other people.

Is in a critical condition from what I've read.

The risk of someone infected turning up has happened. We wait to see if the risk of them starting an outbreak has been realised. My feeling is that they probably haven't infected anyone else, and that if they have the CDC will chase it down and contain it pretty quickly - it doesn't appear to be contagious enough to get out of control.

Contagious for more like four days.

•September 19: The adult patient boards a flight to the U.S. in Liberia after being screened for Ebola symptoms
•September 20: The patient arrives in the United States
•September 24: Patient shows first symptoms of Ebola
•September 26: Patient seeks initial medical care
•September 28: Patient admitted to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas

Erm, there's like 7 days there between boarding his flight and seeking medical care.

This is a real virus that will be released in the USA to depopulate us. Vaccine testing is going to be done on the illegals. They have them in facilities now to start testing on them. Why do you think that they need real live people already infected brought here? We are going to then be placed in martial law. Signed sealed and delivered.?
banghead
I agree there are some insane theories but does anyone remember this incident back in 2009 which IIRC has never been fully explained by Baxter and in theory could not have happened due to the compliance checks in the production process?

Not contagious until symptoms show.

According to the article I read, he was checked for fever before he boarded the flight. If that is right, he was not contagious until after that time.

Fair enough!

I still wouldn't want to have been on his flight though!

We're just lucky that it's so crap at spreading between humans and that carriers are noticeably sick. I've got a rotten cold I picked up flying EasyGerm from Newcastle last Thursday. Didn't feel ill until Sunday, was probably contagious on Saturday.

That was a huge mistake, and considering you have researchers creating a de facto bio weapon for study, does tend to make you think twice.
