For what it's worth there are two petitions on Change.org calling for her removal/resignation from that role.

She could participate, but to head it?

We're paying for this. Comparisons to be made with clawing back the costs of the Hancock cover-up in Portsmouth?

Surely this was known prior to the appointment and the potential conflict of interest?

How on earth!?!?
Its not just her brother- more is coming out. Seems a attempt at a cover up...

Baroness Butler-Sloss criticised over previous 'flawed' paedophile report

Baroness Butler-Sloss, the former judge appointed to investigate allegations of an establishment cover-up of child sex abuse, was forced to issue an apology after making crucial errors in a previous inquiry into two paedophile priests, The Telegraph can disclose.

The peer was put in charge of a “flawed” investigation into how the Church of England handled the cases of two ministers in Sussex who had sexually abused boys.

Eight months after her report was published Lady Butler-Sloss had to issue a six-page addendum in which she apologised for “inaccuracies” which, she admitted, arose from her failure to corroborate information which was given to her by senior Anglican figures as part of the inquiry.

I get the impression the Tories are sticking with her.

They do not get it.

There can never be a satisfactory outcome to this enquiry with her at the helm. There are two possible outcomes.

1. She may cover information up to protect her brother or associates of his.

2. She may have the upmost integrity and investigate every aspect to the fullest, with nothing found. However, there will always be a suspicion she covered up information to protect her brother or associates of his.

Either way, a multi-million pound investigation will always be tainted.

It's not really hard to figure this out.

And yet it seems that several seemingly intelligent people are struggling to do so. Which of itself leads to the conclusion that this will be a cover-up and thus a waste of time and money.

It does however continue to show the contempt with which the Govt hold the electorate.

This I hope, for the sake of the victims here and also victims of other atrocities that have been suppressed, covered up or 'lost', will be when social media, i.e. the people, reclaim some power back from Governments.

These seeming intelligent people know full well what they're doing, there's no struggling about it .

They've treated the general public with contempt for all these years with their cover ups, lies and corruption , why change now ?

Unfortunately for them, I think this time there are finally some good people with influence willing to stand up and be counted. i.e. Simon Danczuk, Bill Maloney etc.

Sadly my sarcasm didn't come across, I should have used a smiley.

But why will it change now? Because now we have facebook, twitter and so on, millions of people "talking" in seconds. News travels fast, really fast. So now the "covering up" is a whole lot harder and the getting away with it is also more challenging, as we no longer rely upon media or similar to "break" the news (or of course fail to do so and assist in covering up), millions of people can do it themselves in seconds.

Let us hope so. But already the barriers are coming up. We now no longer can trust Google, even to the extent we could. Twitter and FB won't be long.

Can understand that a small percentage of all documents go missing but if 100% of docs on paedo MPs go missing that is more than a bit odd.

One of the MPs grilling Sedwill, I think I heard it on Today in Parliament, questioned him that they have a list of the files, but not the files themselves, so they have a name or ID for the 'lost' files. The same MP then mentioned that files have a Govt. number that runs in order, so the files either side of those that seem to lost may be about other subjects and not grown adults having sex with minors, so he asked whether the files on other matters either side of a Paedo file with a Govt. record number one lower and one higher had also been 'lost'.

A certain element of 'The Establishment' seem to think laws don't apply to them and can't see blatant conflicts of interest:

Western Morning News newspaper website 10 July 2014 said:
A woman police officer has denied attempting to pervert the course of justice during a police inquiry into sexual assaults on girl cadets at an Air Training Corps group where she was the commanding officer.

Sarah Cohen, 36, pleaded not guilty to two charges of attempting to pervert the course of justice and two of misconduct in public office when she appeared at Exeter Crown Court.

They all relate to a police investigation in November 2011 into allegations of sexual assaults by Air Training Corps Sergeant James Reading on teenage members in the South West.

As far as I recall the 114 files are not all the files, but I'm happy to be corrected.

Wonder if this bloke was in the missing files. Seems more files are being made yet he may not face a judge.
