If Israel, who hold ALL the cards in this, wanted REAL peace, they would (and have to) give more away (not that it is theirs in the first place) as part of the negotiations. It is quite clear they don't want to do this
If only Israel had been really brave 16 yrs ago and made a fantastic offer that gave the Palestinians most (but not all) of what they wanted, despite Israel infuriating many of their own citizens who accused the Israeli govt of selling them down the river, then all this bloodshed could have been avoided.

Oh...hang on a minute....

So by executing more than 1200 people, IDF is actually doing them a favour? Those ungrateful Palestinians. They get what they love and still bh about it.

Even by your exceptionally low standards, that's beyond stupid.
I didn't say that did I?

Israel is defending itself as best it can. Hamas is attacking Israel and is trying to lose as many Palestinian civilians as it can in order to further its cause. The unfortunate Palestinians are caught up in the death cult and even those with the sense to stop the hate are powerless to act. Witness Hamas' recent slaughter of 30 Palestinian 'traitors' it accused of spying for Israel.
You actually did. That was the purpose of the quote. Are you always this slow?
You didn't say Hamas loves dead Palestinians. If you need a reminder look at the quote. 'Caught up in a death cult' - by that do you mean they are caught between their homes and shelters and they'll be bombed to oblivion wherever they turn.

Terrorist Hamas killed 30 'traitor' Palestinians. I've only found one link to that story, and that was by i24news, hardly objective source, but even if true, one terrorist organization kills 30, IDF kills over 1200. Do you need a calculator? Do you know how to use one?

I wonder if those 'unfortunate' Palestinians love death more if inflicted by Hamas or IDF?

Compared to some posters here, that Shaked bint could be mistaken for Ghandi.

Mr allnighter :

I was following your equivocation of the current IDF operations with those of the SS in the Warsaw Ghetto with great interest.

I must have missed the news reports that IDF soldiers were rounding up thousands of unarmed Palestinian men, women, and children and carting them off to concentration camps for medical experiments, industrialised slaughter and the processing of their bodies into soap and lampshades.

Do you have any links on this?

The comparison between Warsaw ghetto, the Nazis and the current situation in Gaza reminds me of when Sepp Blatter said a footballer tied to a 4 year multi million pound contract was a akin to the slave trade.

Lame analogies, says the bloke who compares Gaza with the Warsaw ghetto.

I must admit, I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry.

I agree with many of your points, yet somehow I feel uncomfortable in agreeing with them. I have respect and admiration for the state of Israel for the the way grown from nothing, into a viable '1st world' nation in such a short space of time. I respect the way they have defended themselves and refuse to be intimidated by hostile neighbours. Yet at the same time I have sympathy and understanding for the Palestinian people who, as the state of Israel developed, found themselves literally forced out of homes and lands that they had lived in for generations, and I understand why the neighbouring countries were , and still are, hostile to Israel.
Israel is a nasty country that seems to get away with acts that other countries would be condemned for. It bulldozes Palestinians out of their lands and homes, builds a 'Berlin wall' to keep the nasty Arabs out, allows the nasty Arabs to work in Israel because their economy requires cheap labour, but these workers have no real rights, they have to queue every morning to pass through military checkpoints and are treated as second class citizens.
Hammas is a nasty organisation that has an avowed intent to destroy Israel, they'll succeed, but they keep trying, and I can understand why they keep attacking the Israelis. I'm pretty certain that not all of Hammas are zealot Islamic fundamentalists.
If I was a young moderate Palestinian, with no interest in politics or religion, and had no time for the extreme Islamic views of Hammas, I just wanted to have a job and build a life, but was denied this opportunity because Israel - the only place I could get a job - had closed the border to me, and then one day my whole family were killed by an Israeli tank shell, then I would hate the Israelis with a passion, and I would join Hammas and try to avenge my families death.

If I was a moderate Israeli who felt sympathy for the Palestinians, but one day my home was mortared by Hammas, then I would hate the Palestinians and actively support the shelling of Gazza.

The solution is in the hands of moderates from both sides, people who simply want to live normal lives and enjoy life. The longer this 'war' continues, the number of moderates on whom a solution depends diminish, as they all turn into extremists intent on destroying each other.
It's called a vicious cirlcle, both sides are right, and both sides are wrong. But as long as the U.S supports Israel, and refuses to condemn them, the dispute will continue.
Well put!

It was Galloway that made that comparison and he was very careful to point out tgat the jews were nothing like hitler and that tge holocaust was terrible e.t.c but I am sure if you watch his speach on gaza you will see why the comparison is quite accurate.

You ought to cry really. You wear your ignorance as a badge with honour, and to you it's must be cool to be dumb!
Like someone has already told you: Reasonable (and intelligent) people see the similarities between Gaza and the Warsaw ghetto. You are far from being either of those Mr ROFL king!

Just bomb innocent people and children - like what has happened in the past few weeks. That'll teach em.

You are wasting your time Allnighter - this thread has covered some very interesting points but the trigger happy IDF lovers here are like jelly; wobbling out of everything they put forward or questioned on; pathetic really.

Perhaps a better idea would be to root out Hamas. Without Hamas the Palestinians might have a hope of making more rational decisions as to their future. Unfortunately , the Palestinians aren't going to be able to do it alone. They need Israel to do it for them. That is going to mean more fighting.

Agreed. The only way to really do it is by sending troops in and using intelligence to weed out the hamas fighters from civilians and taking them out that way. Bombing the crap out of gaza is the cowardly option.

I'd rather you didn't selectively quote me, thanks.

I did not say the IDF are doing Palestinians a favour by killing them as you accuse me. I did say that Palestinians love death more than the Jews love life. That's a statement I will stand by. They are deeply brainwashed into a cult of death. It is very difficult for individuals within that culture to break free. I don't blame them as individuals, but I do blame the likes of Hamas who use the misfortune or the Palestinians to further their own gains. All from the safety of a hotel suite in Qatar. They are utter scum without a shred of humanity.

Do you have any comment on the story I linked to? 30 Palestinian 'traitors' executed by Hamas without trial. Do you have any explanation for those actions?
