I'd not tie what happens here with the "real" world -- and I'm not sure what you really, really, want.
As I see it, there is no chance of a top down, long term, equitable, solution at the moment. All the leaders profit from a continuation of the status quo, all are deeply in denial, all are murdering fascist b

Back on p.371 I started to outline an idea of how a bottom up solution might start, but it was only my view and I'm not in Palestine or Israel (and have no wish to be: if I'm to be part of a conflict, I'd sooner the issues were clearer cut).
If that kind of approach rocks your boat, Hadash or any of the groups here may be of interest.
Old school nationalist belligerents will dismiss it as peacenick prattle. But, hey, a gang of libertarian socialist peacenicks just pretty much defeated ISIS in Kobani.

Just out of interest, you old nationalist warminger, can you point me to a single place where I've actually advocated what you refer to as "the religion of peace"? (Which is, I think you'll agree, rather different to arguing that not all Muslims are monsters.) The Rojava constitution is here: I find no mention of Sharia Law (for example).

Does anyone else here think that Grum is trolling to try and get this thread closed as it's really not a great advert for Israel at all? I actually hope this is the case, because the thought of someone like him having a weapon placed in his hand by HM Forces is quite scary to say the least.
