I think you are probably the only person on this thread who is talking 'Jews and Arabs'. There was one other but I think they're banned now.

Now be a good chap and read back a bit so you get to see the bit where I am told I hate Arabs. My reply was in response to that, I trust you will condemn that as quickly?

I have a day job analysing and interpreting laws written in English. Remind me again what you used to do?

Grum',

We have disagreed on stuff and I have been clumsy on several occasions. We have also agreed on a couple of major points - much to my own disappointment and despair - as they generally are the ones where I have agreed with you that Israel and more importantly, the 'extremists' within the government and IDF simply don't want peace on any terms but their own. (One could argue that they simply cannot 'countenance' and peace unless 100% on their terms)

Remembering that the same can easily be said AGAINST the Pali side and IN PARTICULAR, the extremists over there such as Hamas!

You actually explained it quite well many pages ago - it really is now appearing that you actually also don't want peace - not that you don't believe there can be one but that you personally DON'T WANT ONE!

There is a big difference which I seem to believe you do appreciate but now I am not sure you care? I thought you did?

The same can obviously be levelled at the stronger arguments that some may argue are not pro Hamas but AGAINST JEWS - I don't think this is true - or rather against the authoritarian and totally 'bullying' nature of how the Israeli government are prosecuting their agenda. There really is a difference frown

Sorry....

So a quick recap....

You accuse him of having a strange comprehension of english
He says that he analyses and interprets laws written in English and asks you what you do
You accuse him of saying soldiers are illiterate compared to him as well as suggesting our courts are screwed up...

It's not really him that has a strange comprehension of English, is it?

Slaav, now I know we haven't agreed on much but please don't fall for the smoke screen bullst fake finger and others are pumping out. If you read what I have written I have NEVER, not once, written that I hate the Palestinians or the Arabs. Also I haven't written, anywhere that I don't want peace.

If people bother to check what they will find is that I have, repeatedly, written that I am a realist and that peace cannot happen and will not happen whilst Hamas keep attacking. It will not happen whilst the Palestinians elect a group seen by most of the world as a terrorist group. I have also written that Israel will never accept a one state solution. Not going to happen, FACT! That is the reality.

The only hope is a 2 state solution and that means Israel pulling back to its own borders. Once again a simple reality is that this will never happen whilst rockets are being fired as all it will do is move those launch sites closer to Israel. NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! REALITY! Now I could live in an airy fairy world and spout crap about what's, if's and buts. However I live in the real world and know from long experience that this isn't going to change.

Now please tell me where in any of that do I say I hate Arabs? On the other hand some on here have shown their utter bigoted and racist views of Israel by branding all Israeli's as Zionists.

Do I seek the destruction of Palestine? No. Do I seek the destruction of Hamas? Yes. Massive difference.

Do I want peace? Really don't care one way or the other, I don't live there and we have enough problems in our own country. Do I believe peace is possible? No. Both sides hate each other to much so unless there is a seismic shift that nobody can see coming then it will remain the same. Hamas will not stand down, Israel will not pull back. If they did would the Arab world leave them alone? Not a chance.

No he doesn't ask what I do. Please learn to read or stop trying to twist things.

No I don't accuse him, I ask him IF that is what he is saying. Again please read.

There are some really good evening classes these days for the terminally dim, I can post a link if you like.

And all I said in my initial statement was "At least you admit it...." At no point did I say what you admitted did I? So without that information, why do you think I have a strange comprehension of English? Have you subliminally read something into my statement of "At least you admit it..."?

You made two statements to which I responded. Did I mean you admitted one of those two statements or did you extrapolate to something else?

Enlighten us all, what did you read into my statement?

I think you did read something into it by saying I have a strange comprehension of English. Surely for you to make that statement, either you read something into my statement which I didn't say, or YOU have a strange comprehension of English?

3 points there me old mate:

1. Fake Finger does not want peace. He wants Israel to surrender everything she has to the Arabs. MASSIVE difference!

2. I don't imply that fake finger is an arab. I have no idea of he ethnic origin. He claims to be a jewish gypsy. I will bring into doubt his political beliefs. He is a anti semite that wants Israel to disappear and a supporter of terrorist groups. Simple as that. He cant deny it although why do I think he will try.

3. My existence is wonderful thank you for asking. I have a great wife, kids, wonderful and exciting job. So not sure where you think I am unhappy, angry or miserable? How is your life?
1. I want peace. I'd prefer a just peace. War makes animals out of the best people, eventually. I'm not sure what "everything she has" actually means. Peace can either mean a one state solution (I'd prefer a confederation) or a 2 state solution. In the end, we are not "Arabs" or "Palestinians", "Mexicans", "Kurds", "Poles", "Chechens", "Israelis" or "Nigerians". Just flesh and blood.

Now, you can either view national identity as the goal, or equality. Since I believe that all peoples are equal, I favour the latter.

2. You do "accuse" me of being Arab, and of being a Muslim, and of being a Hamas supporter, Grum. It always is, always was, horlicks. Am I an anti Semite? I don't think so. Zionists need to create the myth that Israel is a noble, just, state. Ergo, anyone who argues otherwise (and I argue otherwise on the basis of history) has to be either an anti Semite or, if a Jew, guilty of self-hatred. I am anti-nationalist, I am anti-Zionist.

My view is that most Israelis are living in denial. They need to come to terms with the Nakba before a meaningful solution can be arrived at.

3. I don't believe you!

Try reading the original post. It isn't in Chinese so a highly educated genius such as your self should have no problem with comprehension.

But there need to be more. It's a relatively rare thing for a Jew not living in a Palestinian neighbourhood (and the very act of doing so makes life much more complex -- you may well find that you simply cannot get home one night, for example) to even meet a Palestinian socially. Leftists don't call it an apartheid state without reason!
that's the catch 22 though isnt it ? allow free movement and people die ,dont allow free movement and ignorance increases.
