Is it Islamophobic or is it about Muslims & why is it so prevalent? Do you think Muslims are at all responsible for the content?

Wasn't good news for the people that settled there though. Swings and roundabouts mate.
You're not as smart as you think you are mate. Once again your argument and outbursts rest on what you think are technicalities (when they are in fact false technicalities.) Now you might not have learnt this at school or in your professional life, but what you described above is called "empathy." Granted it's not something "Oh I feel so so sorry for them - I wish it was me and not them dying?!??" [which is also empathy] but it is empathy nonetheless.

Definition of empathy from Google: Empathy is the experience of understanding another person's condition from their perspective. You place yourself in their shoes and feel what they are feeling.
Strange as I would of called it a fact!

From the Oxford dictionary: FACT "A thing that is known or proved to be true"

zuby84 said:
Oh and Pagans - another technicality you try and wriggle out and just take a minor point someone has made and start screaming and shouting that Pagans didn't exist in the UK before Judaism. Didn't you learn anything about Stonehenge? The geezers that built them; that's what I mean by pagans - but you'll just be awkward for the sake of it. You know the concept I'm trying to get across - why don't you pull me up for my punctuation next?
Sorry but where EXACTLY do I scream, shout or even mention that pagans did or didn't exist in the UK? Yet another example of you twisting posts. What a surprise. You said pagans stealing land, I said they aren't pagans they are JEWS!!!!

From the Oxford dictionary: LIE "An intentionally false statement"

zuby84 said:
Now people reading this will think I'm crazy for going on about pagans so much, but let's put it this way - you're not let's say in the top 50% in terms of intelligence in this country - people really have to spell things out for you. You find it very very difficult to understand the notion of context.
From the Oxford dictionary: DULLARD "A slow or stupid person"

1. Palestine isn't a country is it! No, so what's the point in ifs?
2. I wasn't feeling any empathy to anyone, I pointed out that the settlers had now lost their homes!
3. Who was expelled? Again read the posts. These weren't occupied houses it was farm land FFS!
4. How the hell have they been driven out? Do you even know where Amona is?
1. Stupid point. You have no idea how debate works.
2. Like I said - you did (not a bad thing) but just proves that you disagree with anything for the sake of it
3. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but you seem like someone who is anti-immigration. You would be ok if the UK government promised and gave large amounts of unoccupied farmland to Muslims across the World to come and live on it? If you would; then please accept my apologies on this point. If you would not, then clearly your own premise doesn't stack up
4. See 3 above
1. And yet you raised this stupid point? WHY?
2. Once again I was stating a fact not empathy, why do you insist on telling me how I feel?
3. Again with the assumptions! I am actually in favour of immigration. The UK has always had it, always needed it and will always accept it! 1 in 10 of Nelsons men were immigrants FFS.
4. So I assume you don't know where Amona is. May I suggest you go look it up.

I think some of it is genuinely Islamophobic (pretty much similar to the way racists will pick out an easy group to target). Some of it is an understandable (but un-targeted and not particularly intelligent) response to extreme followers of Islam.

I'd also think that much of it comes from people who have never met a Muslim socially.

You are makimg an absolute fool of yourself, which isn't difficult to be honest.

You make several posts where every person who reads them knows without a shadow of doubt, that you have 'empathy' for the settlers who have been evicted.
You then proceed to defend yourself by stating that you only stated a 'fact' but we all know why you made the statement, we all know how you 'feel'. Your ridiculous rantings are becoming tedious, annoying, irrelevant and laughable.

Since you are the smart one, tell me something: Are you anti Israel or pro Muslims wherever you find them regardless of the issue?
I'm not anti-Israeli. I have empathy for the Israeli's - I really do. One can only imagine their desire or need to have their own homeland after what they went through just 70 years ago or so just to ensure that history doesn't repeat itself. I think we would all do/want the same. However, IMO the way they are going about it is all wrong and in the long run I think it's going to be self-defeating. They cannot correct a wrong that happened to their own people by wronging someone else. Granted, what they are doing to the Palestinians is nowhere near the scale of what happened to the Jews in WW2, but the principle is the same.

As an aside, I can pretty much guarantee that the Israeli-Palestinian situation is one of the main underlying factors that gets Jihadi's so riled up and wanting to "attack the West." Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to win the fight against Islamic extremism and terrorism without sorting out this conflict first.

I am not automatically pro-Muslim (even though you may think anyone who stands up against racism and Islamophobic content which is all too prevalent on these boards is.) There are 1bn + Muslims in the World - now it would take quite a narrow minded idiot to tar them all with the same brush would it not?

All of your comments across a variety of topics tend to be pro-muslim, with regards to the racist views of this forum against muslims virtually every muslim i've met is steeped in racist ideology

Whether that's true or not Muslims are not a race.

Were it true, it's not an excuse for Muslimophobia. (The famous 2 wrongs don't make a right argument.)

Muslims in Bradford are helping rebuild the local Synagogue.

Rascism is generally associated with ignorance of one sort or another.

I have an continue to work with, know and consider my friends many, many Muslims from a variety of North African and Middle Eastern countries. To say all Muslims are radicals or terrorists is wrong. 99.9% are good, honest people who just want to live their lives, raise their family and make the best way they can in this world.

However 99.9% of them are racist when it comes to Jews. It is ingrained and taught to them from a very young age that the Jew is a second class citizen, not dissimilar to the southern states of the US in the 30's regarding blacks.

I agree. Incidentally, in my experience, people who have travelled to other countries and actually got to know the locals seem less racist than people who are insular and stick to their own communities.

If you call trying to stand up to some bigots on here as being pro-muslim then I'm guilty and I won't have it any other way...

Sounds like you have more in common with 'every single muslim you've met who is steeped in racist ideology' than I do wink

GS do a significant amount of work for Saudi Arabia. most of the UAE countries, as well as Iran (pre-sanctions) so I'm guessing that neither party has a massive issue with the other.

You must spend all your life hunting for anti Hammas and pro Israeli news items so you can rush to this forum and post a link. There was simply no need for the above post. I read the news as well, and was aware of this, and as it happens I think Hammas are wrong. I also read other news items showing Israel in a bad light, but I don't rush to my lap top to post a link to them.
I reckon you must work for the Israeli propaganda department.
