Trident replacement should be based out of Scotland in any case, whichever the way the vote goes.
WHY?

Give jobs to face painted morons if the vote is a YES.

If it is a YES move everything important out of the base and then blow the base up.

A few demolition charges should reduce it to a pile of rubble
Jeez, and you call yourself scottish?? Jings crivvens and help ma boab, if you hate Scotland and the Scottish people that much, you know where the door is to the promised land smile oh wait, you love in the tax haven of Aberdeenshire, why would you want to?

I don't hate the scottish people

I utterly utterly hate scottish nationalists

Though in your tiny mind you believe anyone who isn't voting YES isn't a true scot

And quite how you get the idea that aberdeen is a tax haven is beyond me

Or does your seething jealously not allow you to see the reason aberdeen is well off is because we work our arses off

It is a nice little view into your mind that you wish to grab the riches from Aberdeen

Here is an idea

move here and get a job

Will Trident be used as a bargaining chip in the event of a Yes vote? Trident stays in Scotand in exchange for a currency union with rUK?
It sounds like Trident relocation will only be £3billions - I'd take that hit then even contemplate Currency Union. It also removes all leverage SNP has on one foul swoop

This has been one of my biggest problems with this kind of national socialism from day 1. It has always been clear, to me at least, that Nats cast their eye over the border into England, think the grass is greener, and make plans to cut them off - choke them out. But once they have done that, they will just look elsewhere within their own lands for any sign of someone turning a buck more than them, and decide they deserve a cut.

I'd guarantee a central belt Nat would quite happily boot Aberdeen out of Scotland if they could find an excuse, just because they thought the new additonal income would trickle down.

And the funny thing is it reminds me of some of the flyers I have seen for the Radical Case for Independence: "Britain is for the rich, Scotland can be ours!". This has always puzzled me. Who chooses not to be rich?!

Me neither, I'm being fleeced? Probably more tax-income per head in Aberdeen than anywhere in Scotland. If only Aberdeen had control of its taxes, we'd be the (grey) Dubai of Europe! Instead, they take all our money and give it to Edinburgh..

Who do I sound like?

Remember, the north of Scotland always vote differently from the Central belt - They'll never get the government they vote for in Holyrood. And, as everyone north of Perth is already a member of the EU, the EU will have to give your newly formed country simple admittance to the EU -it's only common sense.

The way you go on about Scots makes me think otherwise. You seem to think we are all blue painted oafs who sit on their jacksie and do heehaw whilst you aparantly work your arse off in the cash rich Aberdeen. Unbelievably I do have a career, not just a job, and my industry is being decimated and attacked south of the border and when England sneezes we catch it, so I am extremely worried about the future direction we will be heading. I do not desire moving to Aberdeen as the cost of loving is too high, and am happy where I love and where I hope I love for many years to come.

Why you hate 'nationalists' I do not know, as everyone is entitled to their opinion and have their beliefs, even unionists such as yourself.

Your generalising his comments. He dislikes nationalists. This is understandable as it is a hatefull movement.

Remember kids. Scotland is divided, we dont all vote for the same parties, we dont all eat the same food, we dont all have the same hobbies, we dont all support the same team, we dont all have the same car, we dont all look the same, we dont all have the same acsent. Yet the yes voters speak for us all and claim we all want the same. You will soon see that we wont all vote yes either.

You yes voters are the ones who are painting us all with the same brush, claiming we didnt get the parties we voted for and trying to force us to conform to and adopt your own fantasy.

Scotland is a word and a line on a map. Get over yourselves.

Sorry I missed a few posts after ARP1 said Aberdeenshire is a tax haven.....ahhh mercy!

Is this the same Tax haven that recently stated cost of houses increasing by £5k average per month!! with no notable increase in wages.

My GF and I have to rent and that's over an hour's drive from Aberdeen and neither of us work in Oil and Gas, she manages a charity centre and I work in QHSE in industrial work so please wind your neck in about the 'rich' Aberdeen, Yes there is a lot of money up here but a lot of low earners too, its a big divide, of which an independent Scotland would do SFA about tbh.

What major changes are these?

If there's any evidence to support your claim then I put it to you that you're a 'feart' yes voter.

Of course it's not a tax haven, that of course was said in jest... Of course there is a big divide, as is everywhere! Look atvtue poverty maps of Scottish cities and you see that! If we will be better off voting no, and x, y and z is promised, why isn't it already happening now? Cynical bribery that won't be followed through, and you are a fool to believe it!

What you say isn't good will almost certainly still be better than the rest of the UK.

It would appear that successive UK government give into the whinging and whining that comes from up north.

I don't think westminister could do worse for Scotland then your beloved SNP could do

Lets face it

Westminster aren't going to tear up our financial services industry, remove our lender of last resort, massively increase taxes, force the educated to leave and clamp down on our freedoms

This with bells on. I'm sick of Yes voters intimating they speak for the whole of Scotland. Roll on the 18th when we can settle this once and for all (or at least until the minority force it back on to the agenda).

Uh... Majority of English voters want Scots 'punished', block grant cut, powers reduced, Barnett formula scrapped, English voters want westminister I take a 'hard line' against punitive Scots daring to have a referendum! That answer your question? Because it won't stay the same, that's for sure!
