If there are cuts in an independent Scotland that would not be a surprise, however more cuts are coming our way anyway so what's the difference? The difference is who do you trust more to manage our affairs? Us or them?! You trust Cameron? Must be off your nut associating yourself with that bunch in parliament, laughing their socks off at our expense!

So even you think there is a good chance of cuts

where as the YES campaign state the only way to avoid cuts is to vote YES

Who is being more honest?
First pcvdriver admits the Yes campaign is lying, now arp1. We are making progress.

Even burger almost agreed when Swinney's lies were too difficult to ignore.
Cuts are happening, fact. Independence is not a magic wand and would have to be worked at, but it cannot possibly get worse than it is now, with the current bunch of liars thieves and cover ups circle the wagon 'mp's'

At least you admit the Yes campaign are lying.

And yes, it can get worse if the Nats feck up the economy. It can get a lot worse. If Plan B is Sterlingisation, then cuts on a scale far larger than anything Westminster dreamed up will be necessary.

As Clinton put it - "it's the economy, stupid".

So much for Scots being the friendliest folk on the planet with guff like this!

As I have said before, I couldn't contemplate living anywhere other than Scotland, but wish I could cherry pick other nations ideas... Australian no nonsense attitude and quarantine laws, German autobahn speed limits, turning on a red light as in USA, loads of things. But, here we are. We may be one of the richest nations in the world, but for the few. Food banks etc, how do you explain that?

You seem to think I have never been out if my postcode however that couldn't be further from the truth, so please change your attitude and refrain from spittling all over the place...

There was no outrage that a Scot was PM, he succeeded a previous Scot and had another one as chancellor. Nobody commented about them being Scots until all this referendum stuff came about.

There have been a number of nations in the past, Wessex and Mercia amongst others spring to mind.

if you want haters look at the Yes campaign, there's never been so much insanity and hate going on in a UK vote and at least 90% of it must come from Yes.

Hey, you are an idiot not to realise there have been lies and mistruths from both camps, you just have to sift through and make your own mind up... Much like when watching mainstream media coverage of the referendum... Do you honestly think better together/no thanks etc have been 100% truthful?

And now you have admitted the SNP and Yes campaign are telling lies to your fellow countrymen about cuts(I hope you are making that clear to your friends -you wouldn't want to lie to them too), what other lies are they telling?
EU membership?
NATO membership?
Shipbuilding jobs?
Damage to the financial services industry?
You see it is an Emperor's new clothes moment. When one person realises truth, the whole thing unravels as a tissue of lies.

The funny thing is, if they had run an honest campaign, they might have actually won. If the hadn't won, they'd have gained converts for an easier moment to separate.

I have lived and worked in Scotland, amongst other countries, and did not find Scots to be any friendlier than anyone else. I have found people to be generally pleasant (at least on a 1-1 basis and in small groups) all over the world. I think you might be placing too much trust in your own hype.

You just had to watch general (mainly) BBC programmes to feel the 'outrage' that a Scot was in charge so don't give me that... And for some reason Tony didn't seem like a Scot and wasn't perceived as one but Gogs was, strange that .

Subsidised, not free.
Average tax generated by Scottish taxpayer - £10000
Average tax generated by uk taxpayer -£8800

Not subsidised
Spending per head scotland

£10372

SUBSIDISED

Let's set them up one side against the other and see who is less truthful.

Ps you are right about the nations bit, Scotland had nations before it was even Scotland so there always has been 'nations', I was trying to get at that Scotland is more than a mere region...

explain foodbanks

EASY

person of low intelligence signs up to brighthouse

spends benefits on trying to buy st

takes out a wonga loan

ends up in deeper crap

they end up pennyless

off to the foodbank they go

A solution to foodbanks would be to stop those on benefits from entering into any form of credit arrangement

This is a massive revolving door so let's just say I believe in what I believe and you believe in what you believe, same as this whole sorry referendum and thread...

Will force england into a currency union? believe or not

We can spend all the oil money on stopping poverty? believe or not

We can put all the oil money into an oil fund? believe or not

We will never have a tory government ever again? believe or not

We will carry on building warships for the UK? believe or not

Low and behold more pages without decent debate.

Arp1 you've asked questions and been given sourced answers, yet dismiss them as biased/ wrong/ etc and plow on with your Yes line. It makes me sad that many of the pro-independence folk are like you, will vote Yes regardless of the information that is presented to them. Much like the SNP, your type of Yes voter will plow on with their line even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. For the sake of my country and the sensible people that live in it, I hope you lot never get any more power.

Brown was at first lauded by most people in the UK as a capable Chancellor; it was only his blind ambition and the widely reported undermining of his boss Blair that gave a flavour of the real man. He was a crap Prime Minister not because he was Scottish, but because he was out of his depth. But you go on playing the victim card as it justifies in your mind the absolute twaddle you post on here.
