It means if something is devolved to scotland say education, why should they then, by the fact there are 50 scottish MP,s carry the vote one way or another in Westminster,

they could vote for a policy in scotland, and block it in England

So in england now on education we have a tory majority out voted by scottish socialist, who dont represent any actual constituency affected
Yes I agree. That kind of thing has actually happened on a few occasions. If we have a devolved system of government in the UK - it should apply to all constituent countries.

I believe this is already being discussed.

A no vote is likely to lead to more special pleading. It's probably going to be better for the rest of the UK in the long run if they fk off and do their own thing. If they are in the EU, the Scottish Socialist Republic will have to offer its free university education and generous welfare benefits to English migrants, so maybe we can send them all our students and scroungers too.

Perhaps if they vote no the rest of the country can have a vote on whether to kick them out anyway?

You're a minority nationalist. Most people in Scotland don't love you.

Care to tell us why no MEP from the SNP has ever asked in the European parliament what happens to Scotland after we leave the UK?
I could very well ask the same question about why no representative from the Government has asked the EU to allow us to join, as that would be all it would take for a definitive answer. And so many of you on here seem to want us to go anyway.... Pragmatism at work.

Oh come on, the vote hasn't happened yet.

Surely it's in the Yes campaign's best interests to prove they are right, after all its easily proven that post No EU membership (if that's what you want) is assured.

Because if we don't get what we want in negotiations over seperation we want to be able to veto your application for the next 150 years.

It is good hold: "Trident stays 'till 2050 or veto". Pragmatism at work.

Quite - supporting/vetoing iScotlands entry into Europe is a rather large bargaining chip to have on the rUK side of the negotiating table.

Why should they ask?

Why should wastemonster help us?

Why has no MEP from SNP stood up and asked "In the event of scotland getting separation from england will scotland remain in the EU?"

Why has this NEVER been asked by an MEP from the Scottish nationalist Party?

It is easy they just need to stand up and ask "In the event of scotland getting separation from england will scotland remain in the EU?"

Why can't they do this?

Nats ignore the answers they don't like.

We know there would be no currency union, all the parties have said as much. Yet the SNP say that they would.

We know the Scotland wouldn't be in the EU, the EU commission has said as much, Yet the SNP say that they would.

We know that Scotland would have provide free education to people from rUK. Yet the SNP say that they wouldn't.

We know that the MoD couldn't favour a foreign country for defence contracts. Yet the SNP say we'll still grant them to them.

We know that a financial company has to have its HQ in its largest market.... It goes on and on.

Personally I'm not exactly thrilled at the idea of needing a passport to go 30 miles down the road.

I know I'm not the only one.
