Firstly it's obvious that what Russia is seeking is partition of Ukraine to reflect it Russian loyalist anti EU faction in the East and the pro EU faction in the West.

It seems to me what we're seeing from the EU is a power struggle between one ( perceived ) weakened federation in the form of Russia and another rising one in the form of the EU that's got dangerous geographic expansionist ideas that go way above it's remit. With terms like 'rebels' being thrown around to describe not just Russian loyalists but you can bet anyone who wants nothing to do with the monstrous idea in the long term.IE UKIP supporters being branded as racists etc etc etc today and secessionist rebels, just like East Ukrainian Russians, tomorrow.

Which would also explain the glaring inconsistency of ( rightly ) maintaining a policy of partition in it's own back yard in the case of Ireland/Northern Ireland between nationalists and loyalist unionists but the total opposite in the case of Ukraine.Which just leaves the question of,knowing UKIP's policies regarding Ukraine, why the deafening silence from Farage. Is he being gagged by the pro EU government security agencies and their propaganda.Or is it that he just can't be bothered knowing that Britain is now a lost cause to the dangerous aggressive expansionist policies of the federalist supporters of the EU.

I am not sure there is a big enough gag in the world to stop Farage, do you really imagine he would play along with pro EU propaganda? You do come across as having a shaky grasp on reality.

Possibly because with you it would be like arguing with your 3 year old daughter about why the sky is up?

Heavy MLRS artillery being deployed by the Russians on Ukrainian border.

Up to 4 x more effective than the Grad's being used so far

I'm so glad Russia isn't using this time of tension to increase the supply of arms.

. . . . the outcome of the political process in Ukraine was against closer ties with the EU, and in favour of links with Russia.
Which issue of Pravda did you read that in tovarishch?

I'm really starting to dislike the whole Russian iron fist approach to things and sadly it as a country in general ( I know I know) but fking hell do they have some serious fire power! I dread to think what those are capable of and even more worrying is this is still 'toys' compared to the bigger stuff

MLRS have been about for donkey's years - US models since early 80s - unguided even earlier.

The EU and NATO want to move it's borders eastwards to Crimea and it's all supposed to be Russia's fault.I'd say Russia is showing enormous restraint as opposed to if the West had tried the same thing in the 1960's/70's.

not only MLRS, they have brought Tochka, nuclear capable ballistic missile system closer to the border. That's their modus operandi, trying to intimidate countries. They did the same with Yugoslavia 50 years ago.

Well so far the only one doing any border moving has been Russia

As a preemptive move to draw a line in the sand after all the previous NATO eastward expansion and obvious intentions in this case.

I wont let facts get in the way of an argument, but where Russia occupy for freedom, is coincidentally a mass gas route pipeline network entering and distribution to other counties. Russia has also increased the gas price to the Ukraine vastly.

Also just south east of Crimea Putin is building a billion dollar mansion.

facts such as these hold great weight as to the direction Russia is heading.
