Malaysian Airlines 777 down on Ukraine / Russia Border?
Discussion
Putin is trying to silence his critics at home now, according to Sky News, by quote:
'passing a new anti-protest law, increasing the penalty for repeat breaches to up to five years forced labour or imprisonment, or a one million ruble fine. Another law targeting "extremist language" makes re-tweeting information deemed "offensive" punishable by up to five years in jail.
The vast majority of people here, more than 90%, get their information from TV news - and Russian media is increasingly subject to heavy state control."
Classic signs of a dictator being pushed towards the rope. You can take the man out of the KGB, but you can't take the KGB out of the man.

Brilliant piece by Simon Jenkins in today's Guardian:

"Yet only fools can ignore the fact of Russian pride and fear of encirclement. The post-cold war provocation of Putin was good public relations, but it was rotten history.
We are told that east Ukraine is one of many potential explosions that Putin could trigger along the Russian border, from the Baltic to the Caucasus. Everywhere are Russian minorities (or majorities) that could clash with local non-Russians. Europe’s leaders have no conceivable interest in stirring up such conflicts – and yet that was precisely what they sought to do in Georgia and Ukraine"

They have found another large section of fuselage about 1 mile away
Hopefully the remaining bodies will be accounted for there.

Which just leaves the question of,knowing UKIP's policies regarding Ukraine, why the deafening silence from Farage. Is he being gagged by the pro EU government security agencies and their propaganda.Or is it that he just can't be bothered knowing that Britain is now a lost cause to the dangerous aggressive expansionist policies of the federalist supporters of the EU.
Actually, you're (as usual) mistaken. Many questions on this topic remain, however that is not one of them. Do you understand that this involves Ukrainian/Russian rebels and military and has LITERALLY no relation to Ireland or UKIP?Edited by XJ Flyer on Thursday 24th July 18:40

Putin seems to be getting very desperate, he thinks if he loses Ukr then it could trigger a 'Russian Spring'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9iCq0k0PEY

How long before RT spins it into "western soldiers deployed on Russian border"?
It would be interesting how Russia responds now that international troops are on the ground.
Might be more careful where they point those MLRS
After an earlier accusation from the US of Russia firing artillery into Ukraine they state that Ukrainian mortars have been fired into Russia, according to https://twitter.com/RT_comIt would be interesting how Russia responds now that international troops are on the ground.

Other state sponsored items on there too.

While I agree I do worry about what these guys would do for backup, requested air strikes etc when the rebels it seems can get what they want from Russia with Russian troops very close on standbyBeyond Rational said:
Maybe I've missed something, but how is firing missiles from one country into another in order to destroy the armed troops of that nation, not an act of war?
Or sending special forces in to "secure" an area...We'd do well to stay well away from this fast emerging st-show.

I agree. Putin-the-Paranoid already thinks NATO are trying to construct an invasion by siding up to Ukraine. We'd do well to stay well away from this fast emerging st-show.
This will cause his ICBM silo's to step up to a 'put your vodka down' state. Very dangerous, no matter how innocent the intention.

I bet 50 quid no special forces would go in, too open and too much publicity and to secure a non military site is worthless from a strategic point of view. We'd do well to stay well away from this fast emerging st-show.
