I think you're giving him too much credit here, he's clearly (and I'm being serious, in terms of the issue you have with your shoulder , and the linked articles also mentions that this kind of issue can originate from the spinal column and not from the painful limb ) not thought this through .

I know nothing about this sort of stuff but have heard of both the side effects you have mentioned and for those reasons have to 100% agree with you!
