He's a lot more qualified than many...
Stop it.Does the phrase "intelligent idiot" mean nothing to you? He may or may not have qualifications, but he is an economically dyslexic buffoon.
He is, however, nowhere near the most irritating politician ever, to be fair.

Balls is the kind of guy who'll crash into your parked car and then fk off without telling you. He only confessed when the Police came knocking.
Thanks, I had quite forgotten about that very telling little incident. Interesting the way some people behave when they (think they) are out of the spotlight.tenpenceshort said:

The multifaceted, duplicitous, ignorant, arrogant economy killer should be kept away from Number 11 at all costs.
Not only that, he'll then criticise your choice of parking location and the company doing any repairs. The multifaceted, duplicitous, ignorant, arrogant economy killer should be kept away from Number 11 at all costs.
The guy is not only an idiot, but a dangerous one. How anyone can ever consider giving Labour the keys to the economy again after the chaos and destruction they wrought in office only a a few years ago is beyond me.

John Humphrys tied him up in knots like a good'un on Today this morning about this.
First Balls said there was "no debate at all on banking regulation" between the government and the opposition when Labour was in charge, then he said later that the Tories were constantly asking them to reduce regulation on the City....so which is it?
Then he said that the top rate of tax was cut, blah blah blah tax cuts for millionaires etc, and said "we need to raise the top rate of tax to help out with the deficit". Humphrys then pointed out that for 99% of the 13 years Labour was in charge, the top rate of tax was actually lower than it is today, so actually having a 45% tax rate was more progressive than Labour had been except for in the very last few weeks of government (which was clearly a landmine for the next government).
The man is a total pillock and I worry hugely if he becomes Chancellor.

this mornings shredding - along with Yvette Coppers hollow domestic violence interview on Monday, should go some way to showing these fukers up for the vapid individuals they are.

But there is a whiff of 'what you see is what you get' with the noble Lord. Blair, well who really knows WTF he is/was thinking?I'd put Kinnochio at the head of any list of the UK's most annoying, and perhaps Major as the most under-rated...

Let's all vote Tory - that'll sort it all out...
Yea, 'course it will.Ed Balls and his mates achieved the following amazing 'success' story in their last cock-up. Data from ONS, HMG.
-top 1% income growth up
also
-child and pensioner poverty up
-social mobility down compared to other countries
-gap between rich and poor cities wider
-rich and poor health gap wider
-public sector productivity down
-education gap for poorer pupils wider
-youth reoffending up
-inequality greater than under Thatcher
Nice.
As I said, dump this shower of ste, let the Tories in and keep your fingers crossed.
What could possibly go wrong for the majority of the tax-paying public?
I doubt we'd see more attacks on workers rights, an increase in zero-hours contracts and a doubling in the time before an employee could launch an unfair dismissal claim...

But there is a whiff of 'what you see is what you get' with the noble Lord. I'd say Blair would likely top my current list. I do find the Eton Front Row; a.k.a. ham face and dough face rather irritating for their utter disconnect from mainstreet UK, but they're hardly worse than many other public figures who assume to speak for the rest of us, politicians or otherwise.
