(Muslim Hulk can be seen in the first 30 seconds)

Mixed reports suggest the protest was peaceful until drinkers started chucking chairs at them, protestors retaliated and then there was a little scuffle.

I really don't see the point of why people demonstrate their anger at local councils or even Goverment. What is the point of marching around waving banners and signs at councils who can't even deal with their own areas, let alone two countries wanting to knock seven bells out of each other.

A march in Cardiff to protest against Israel ? They haven't quite thought that one through.

To be fair it appears to be retaliation to someone lobbing a bottle / glass into the crowd.

Wouldn't the absense of a punch up in Cardiff be more newsworthy?

I was drinking there from approximately 4pm on-wards, you could not have told there was a major scuffle going on earlier!

Too much sun and alcohol for some people clearly. Normally quite a placid area.

Why? Cardiff is very multi-cultural.

Anyway, from what I can gather it was a very peaceful, if loud protest passing without incident, so the police had largely let them carry on as they were - until they reach a crowd of pissheads at the end of Mill Lane who, upon seeing a group of 'Muslims' decided to start throwing insults, bottles and eventually tables - the video only captures the second-half and far too many have taken it as a sort of Muslim riot.

But was it 'proportionate' after all that seems to be the phrase of the moment

I'd say so, it looks like a pint of beer was thrown.

Throwing a pint of beer at a Muslim would be like throwing a pint of piss at me, I'd punch someone for that.

Expected to see riot. Actually saw some tables being thrown in the general direction of some people, unless I've missed something...?

And then hit them with a chair and throw a table for good measure.

And I have seen plenty of Muslims catch alcohol with their mouths.
