Baggage Chaos at Gatwick

Just to add a bit of balance, I used Gatwick a couple of weeks ago and it was bliss! No queues at passport control and the bags were on the carousel before we got there. Never been through a major airport quicker.

To be fair, me too.

Came back from Vienna and through and into my car within 30 minutes.

Mind you we were delayed by 5 hours because of bad weather and landed at Stanstead first rather than Gatwick

Well I'm sat in the lounge in Trinidad waiting to board my flight home to Gatwick. To be on the safe side, I've opted for the later flight back up to Manchester in case of delays; it was a short connection time anyway.

If there are no delays and I have a wait, I'll enjoy the hospitality of the Heathrow T5 Terace lounge

Ironically my bag is now missing from the Heathrow to manchester leg of my journey.
