In just about every photo I see of these scumbags, they're holding aloft a forefinger.

What is this supposed to be symbolic of? One god = Allah? or just simply "we're number one?" Collective IQ?!

That's called "Tashahhud" amongst Sunni Muslims :" I bear witness that there is no god but God, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger"

Pussies. More to the point why weren't they detained at customs?

Where are the Iranians in all of this? A few weeks ago they said they were going to provide assistance to Iraq but I've heard nothing of this since.

Where exactly in Syria would you suggest?

Way too busy assisting Assad in Syria as many of his men are either dead or jumped ship to the other side/s.

SAA now made up of Iranian Quds, Alawite and of course Hezbollah op's from Lebanon (protecting Lebanon from those pesky Jews) not.

What are you going to do ? Arrest people for returning from Syria ? Don't you have to prove they were involved in a crime first ?

Presumably most of those returnees will be under the govts watchful eye.

Plenty of people went across to Syria on aid missions. Newsnight followed a group last year, maybe they added their team in the 260. What these guys were doing would make describing them as 'pussies' inaccurate. Then there was that poor doctor who got tortured and killed in prison. If he'd made it pack he'd be counted in that list. I don't think there is a group of 200 plus IS trained terrorists walking freely around in the UK.

Of course our government at the time were supporting the anti Assad lot so it does have some responsibility for what has taken place.

Saw Cameron sound bite about taking passports away from people contemplating travel. Apart from the issue of his barely disguised jealousy at people who don't have to holiday in Cornwall, would such bans be open to public scrutiny?

Indeed, perhaps we should move this whole thread to the Holidays and Travel forum if it's as nice as AreOut suggests it is.

So you stop them from traveling overseas to wreak havoc and they will have no choice but to start here instead.

Seems logical to me...........

Perhaps you should let them out, and then not let the fkers back in again.

EVER.

How would you differentiate between somebody who has been abroad for legitimate reasons and somebody whose been abroad because they are evil bigots who enjoy beheading people?

Easy. Ask the PH armchair generals - they are easily able to differentiate these people and enourage the harshest penalties.

There is hardly any need for intelligence led, community supported efforts that include the very communities these people might be 'hiding in plain sight' in?, is there?

They might be up to other sh8t in the UK (which could be another topic) but at least they won't be in some training camp with their jihadist buddies. It's a start.

I've no idea, it's the government who's deciding!

I guess MI5 have been watching suspects going to the local kebab shops too often and assume they're about to take a quick lesson in decapitation once out of the country?

Exactly, make them someone else's problem once they've learnt that living in Iraq with murdering bds isn't quite as much fun as it may have appeared initially yes
