Anyone know what colour warning we are on? Trying to take out travel insurance with John Lewis for a trip in a weeks time. If you take the policy out when the warning is amber you're covered. If it's red then not.
I believe it's still amber - the experts seem to be leaning towards an explosive eruption in the future... I'm off to the USA next weekend <gulp>Interesting or a typo? The volcano burped?

"A plume of sulphur dioxide was detected drifting towards Europe from Iceland’s Bardarbunga volcano late on 4 September 2014. These images are based on data from the Spinning Enhanced Visible & InfraRed Imager (SEVIRI) on the Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) mission."
Also the sulphur cloud heading NE.
