Anyone know what colour warning we are on? Trying to take out travel insurance with John Lewis for a trip in a weeks time. If you take the policy out when the warning is amber you're covered. If it's red then not.

I believe it's still amber - the experts seem to be leaning towards an explosive eruption in the future... I'm off to the USA next weekend <gulp>

If you watch the feed you sometimes see a line of those things from the main fissure all the way left to the river, about four or five of them

Interesting or a typo? The volcano burped?
http://www.esa.int/spaceinimages/Images/2014/09/Ba...

"A plume of sulphur dioxide was detected drifting towards Europe from Iceland’s Bardarbunga volcano late on 4 September 2014. These images are based on data from the Spinning Enhanced Visible & InfraRed Imager (SEVIRI) on the Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) mission."

Also the sulphur cloud heading NE.

Dangerous levels of SO2 were recorded all over Ireland very recently - albeit for a short period of time.
