Well, despite Lee Rigby's murder the military don't go armed when in civvies so you'll forgive me not stting myself quite yet. I would bet that should the population be allowed to go armed more people would be shot by accident than beheaded by nutters.
absolutely no doubt. I didn't say it should be allowed, I did opine that people will start thinking like that. The thing about terrorism is that it instils fear and disrupts lives without a whole lot of effort.

The odd person will probably think this but the overwhelming majority, it won't cross their minds. Hence why I said it won't become an issue.

I am torn between whether I think the authority's should pounce on any U.K. citizen who has returned to the U.K. and is known, or suspected to have been part of this problem, and lock them up, or whether we should just be British, and let them in, but follow their every move closely.

Frankly, half the time we support regimes that actually carry that out.

The first Arab countries who rushed to take part in Tuesdays bombing is made up mainly of the Theifdoms Kingdoms whose Royal rulers are only interested in their own survival:

Saudi Arabia
Jordan
United Arab Emirates
Qatar
Bahrain

Whilst other non-Royal Arab countries might sympathise with the West here (ie: Turkey, Egypt, Iran etc) they are keeping their powder dry at the moment.

No not at you. Read what I put & you will see I'm making the point you make about Iran, but about Turkey, in fact many Egyptians would make a similar point about themselves as well

I understand, just checking. I would have vetted first but I am trying to live in the consta-texting, Facial Book, instant gratification and reading-only-headlines world, therefore too busy to be reading and such. wink
