The only problem with that plan is that you just gave away most of the Iraq oil fields. Never going to happen!
Long term - Kurdistan, Sunnistan & Shiastan - it's only the money that needs haggling over

No need to take all the income from them. That can be sorted (in theory, it already has been, but there's wingeing from Erbil and Baghdad. "we want more oil", "we want more guns, and stop nicking our aid", etc.). Even the Rojava is an oil (and grain) exporter in more peaceful times.

Found this cartoon:

Reported that YPG/YPJ and FSA have 70% of Kobani city -- ISIS isolated in east of city without realistic hope of re-supply.

If it is happening in Daesh, we'd be the very last people to hear about it anyway.

It's the name that Arabs call ISIS and has disparaging connotations. The French got behind it. Now in the media.

But IS contains the I word -- which really has faff all to do with them. (After all, most of the people they're killing, and most of the land they're trying to conquer, are/is Muslim.

But they could have got pretty much the same gibberish from the Old Testament (pointing this out has become a neat side line for Dawkins) or, come to think of it, sacred Hindu texts.

Daesh is about power and control, religion is just a means to that end.

Think of them as latter day Crusaders.

So, in other words, think of them as having not moved on after 700 years? Got it.

That's pretty much what latter day means, don't you think? If it floats your boat, sure.

So, the Muslims who are killing them? read

Religion sucks, heval, but tarring all believers with the same brush doesn't cut it. It just turns you into another extremist nutter.

If I were busy sawing somebody's head off I would be an extremist nutter. Posting an opinion does not put one into that camp.

Nobody has tarred everybody with the same brush. I have painted a more factual picture that you, if we are to use your crap analogy.

I should have said "tarring all believers of the same faith with the same brush.........."

Let's assume that Jimbeaux's neighbour is a Christian (it's probably a fair assumption). Should we ask Jimbeaux how many abortionists his neighbour has shot today?

Nobody has tarred all believers of the same faith with the same brush. It may be an inconvenient truth that Islamic State are, well, Islamic (muslims), but truth it is.

I don't remember anybody suggesting that all muslims are potential Islamic State members.
