true

unless there is a common enemy that needs everyone to join forces - you know, like in the films when aliens attack and mankind has to act as one

that is how far fetched peace on earth is unfortunately

What are this lot actually after, do they even know ?
they simply want to kill anyone who isn't Isis. They actually fight each other too they're so fked up.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to live in their lovely state if they ever succeed in creating one.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly, they make the IRA and Al-Qaeda look like humanitarian organisations, the ones who go over from the UK, I reckon they got bullied at school so they go over to be a bad man, you get a black jumpsuit, a face mask and an AK47.

Their state would make Saudi look like Disneyland, everyone would be dead apart from them inside a few years.

I think part of the problem with the middle east is that women have no power or voice, if they did they would have told them to stop acting like dicks years ago before it got to this, ultra mega dicks with guns.

This is a new war that will infiltrate our society and in 20 years time I suspect we will live in an entirely different country the the one we live in now.

You can't fight an ideaology as easily as you can a country.

Jordan have executed 6 ISIS terrorists (DM)

That's a good start, keep going I say.
Is anyone at war with anyone officially or do wars have to be between official 'states'?

How does the executing of these guys (POW's?) go down in terms of the Geneva Convention?

Jordan have signed it I believe. Have they just committed a war crime?

Why watch it?
Exactly.

I just cant bring myself to watch stuff like that. Never seen a beheading video and I wont even watch a video of supposedly bad people (e.g Saddam/Gaddaffi) being killed.

I suppose that depends if they've been through the justice process or simply asked to stand against a wall and shot.

I suspect the first but in and out of a room pretty quickly,

If anyone is in any doubt that ISIS and anyone who supports them should be absolutely obliterated off the face of this earth then they should watch it.

I guarantee they will change their mind.

Sad thing is the West helped create this monster called Daesh. If Assad had been allowed to deal with these rats decisively instead of us funding and arming the so called moderates who then turned into Nusra and eventually morphed into Daesh , we probably wouldnt be in this situation today.

The same damn situation in Libya. Daesh and militias in full control.

Indeed, which is why this will never end.

It's not "new" per-se, Islamic extremism and terrorism, and it's roots in wahabbism / salafism has always been around, but yes, I'm struggling to disagree with the rest of your statement.

I've watched it and I think people should if they're in any doubt as to who we're dealing with here.

Sadly, I can see how some people will find the whole thing appealing and want to rush out there and join in. The internet really has changed everything.

Read it again, it's a typical Mail headline:

Jordan announces execution of six ISIS prisoners 'within hours'

The 'within hours' indicates it hasn't happened as yet.

Is it time to make peace with the butcher Assad and have some kind of joint fight vs ISIS?
They've gained ground in Syria because coalition airstrikes haven't been mounted there, for a variety of reasons. In Iraq however, they've been given a right kicking.

Join forces with Assad, you simply encourage more overt and covert support for Isis by vast swathes of the Sunni community. A large number of which live in this country.

No easy solutions.
Have you seen the images of Kobane? Looks as if it's been subjected to area bombing.

Castration of ISIS captives, physical or chemical, might be worth considering.

If you've ever wondered where ISIS gets its finance, this is well worth a read. You will be shocked. Or maybe not.

If most of their money comes from captured oil fields, perhaps a lot of missiles into the oil wells would put a stop to it? An environmental clusterfk for sure, but one way to cut their funding off. And some cyber terrorism against the banks that hold the money(it can't ALL be in cash, surely)
OR
Nukes,lots of nukes!!!
