A while ago, a good friend paid me a rather unexpected visit with some rather surprising news about the Clair Field and Ridge. As usual it was rubbished by the usual disciples on here......and as it was all under wraps at the time - I was accused of all sorts, but hey-ho, it was like water off a duck's back to me....
So I thought I'd share BP's own video announcing their remarkable achievements. It's funny that with such a breakthrough in the advancement of their drilling technology, one would have that it would be all over the press, but oddly no. I wonder why that is? Anyway here's the video for your viewing pleasure.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxZlMLmbgQ4#t=19

So what you're saying is BP are keeping a big oil find secret by placing a huge advert about it on the internet?

I can't get onto YT at work so I'm guessing about the content from your previous proclamations.

Yes, it's similar to the appproach David Cameron used, where he flew up to Shetland in a bid to keep an oil discovery in Shetland secret.

That video talks about injecting a water solution into the wells in order to extract the oil. Sounds like fracking to me, you're against fracking, aren't you?

Saw this on facebook being shared by "the usual disciples"

Yes: World's largest oil field

Video: 650m recoverable barrels

Translation: Not even in the top 120 largest fields, smaller than most of the Norwegian fields that spring to mind

Breakthrough advancement in drilling technology also means more expensive to recover by the way.

Is this the same field PCV you and other PH Nats were claiming to have friends who had been put on paid leave with instructions to keep this "huge" find secret. Do you think you'll be able to remain unbanned on this thread until the vote?

Except it's not a big new find its, we'll get a few %more oil out of it. Using a technique that looks very like franking. Don't you dislike that? Where did it say that the rig had been shut down and everyone sworn to secrecy I missed that bit in the film. Getting awards isn't the best way of keeping secrets.

640 million barrels of recoverable oil isn't actually that big, I believe, there are fields with billions of barrels worth of production under their belts that are still producing.

So lets keep it secret by posting it on the internet.

Not a critical thinker are you

Anyway

Anyone who knows the truth knows that David Cameron was negotiating the Shetlands becoming a crown dependency the same as the isle of man

When was the last time that an oil discovery was plastered all over the press? I remember, never! It's certainly great news, for the Shetlands, that is, espcially if they declare independence from Scotland, afterall, it would then be Shetland's oil, not Scotlands!

Nah, it was a secret mission to discuss the field, which nobody could find out about, yet he managed to get photographed whilst there, this photograph was so secret he uploaded it to Twitter:

For those that haven't got a clue what is happening in this thread

let me give you an insight into the true oppress us scots have to suffer

To stop us from having FFFRRRRREEEEEDDDDOOOOOOMMMMMmmmmmmMmmmmmmm you english bdS have hidden the worlds LARGEST oil field from our sight

BP have been drilling off the the clyde west coast of scotland west of shetland

During this drilling of a single well they discovered the worlds largest oil field.

The data discovered was so incredible that it could not be taken off of the rig which is 40 miles west of shetland

So they did the following

They stood down the entire crew of the BP Clair rig (currently being built in korea) and sent them all home on full pay and told them not to talk. As this was far more secure then keeping them on a rig 40 miles from land where they control all the communications

They then flew up David cameron from london to the shetlands to look at the data which was still on the rig. They also flew all the BP top executives from london to the shetlands to discuss hiding this information

And to ensure absolutely no one knew that David cameron was in the shetlands they also flew up a whole team of journalists up with David cameron

And to make it doubly secret they have now put an video on the internet

It's not fracking, it's water injection, an established technique in the oil industry. The only news there is the use of low salinity water, presumably the break through is cost effective salination reduction (guess it's an RO process).

A field so secret I'm sat here in the office looking at an invoice for a purchase of crude from it dated Feb 2006? So secret that DECC were publishing information about its further development in 2010? https://www.og.decc.gov.uk/environment/permits/BPC...

Why do you persist with this nonsense? No one is hiding the oil, get over it.
