In terms of the "world order", China's rise will change everything.

Whether or not that will be a "threat" remains to be seen.

It really depends on your definition of "threat".

But -- without question -- the Western Millennium is coming to an end.

And the Eastern Century is emerging.

Every second of every day, the West is weakening economically, politically and militarily. The outlook for Westerners is bleak.

Isn't there currently an ongoing conflict at the far end of the Med that is a root and underlying justification (if not cause) of an awful lot of bother in the world? And I include the rise of IS(IS) in this.....

It is more a 'what' than a 'who'.

With international travel and over population it will probably be some virus or bacterial infection. Swine / Avian flu was a good example of how something can quickly travel the globe and it just needs something that is resistant, fatal in a high percentage of cases, has a relatively long incubation period whilst being communicable and quite a large amount of the population will be wiped out.
