For my work related flights, flights over 5 hours are business class. My biz trips are almost always long flights so they are almost always business class. It is a lot more comfortable and a lot more expensive.
Ours were >4 hours biz class, apart from Istanbul which was 3h55 if I recall, but still biz class. Bucharest was about 3.5 hours and annoyingly economy.

For the laptop users, using a laptop when people want to sleep is also inconsiderate. The screen is bright, much brighter than the IFE screen (if you are working, not if you are watching a film on it), it keeps people awake and the keystrokes are not quiet when the rest of the cabin is silent.
You say that (and I hardly ever use a laptop when people want to sleep) but surely if an airline provides at-seat power and wifi then I'm entitled too, like the seat recliners in economy? If they didn't want me to do it they'd turn off the power and wifi at the same time as the lights. Plus I've paid a lot more than they have.

This thread rofl

I'd be willing to bet that none of the people banging on about what they would say/do in these hypothetical situations, either pro or anti recliner, would say a word when on a plane in real life.

Keyboard warriorism at its finest. hehe

rong, BA don't do food on short haul either. They used to.
BA still do. It varies - I fly BA domestic a lot and you get a ham & cheese toastie at breakfast or a couple of biscuits and a packet of crisps in the evening after dinner time. Plus tea/coffee/coke etc.

AA hands out mini 4 course packs on Carribean flights. There is a more extensive menue in the pocket for food purchase.

I'm more thinking along the lines of a crowded economy cabin and one single person is up tap tapping on their work laptop with a bright screen when everyone else is asleep. Well you never get everyone asleep but a few passengers watching an IFE screen showing a movie or even a laptop showing a movie is a lot less bright than Microsoft Word/Excel and a white screen.

Business class is an entirely different story since there is a lot more space, privacy and light shielding for everybody.

Recline your seat into my knees and I cant be comfortable nor can I sleep. Why you think I'd facilitate you sleeping comfortably in that situation escapes me. Its a seat, not a bed, so sit up or shut up.
You're to small to win. Worst case and your puny little body can actually back up your motor mouth, I can just walk away while you windmill your stumps trying to catch me.
This is a disgusting post and you should be ashamed of yourself but I guess you lack the basic intelligence to work out why. Ph does not need posters like you, go back to fast car or something.

I thought he was quite measured. He's had someone calling him a fking tt or a about 15 times in 5 posts. That is behaviour that has seen many posters banned for life. Presumably he hasn't complained or it'd have been the last we saw of creampuff for a very long time.

Creampuff should be ashamed of his language and behaviour towards posters with whom s/he may disagree, but who up to that point had been respectful of others opinions, if a little hard on the vertically challenged.

That idiot was not respectful of others opinions. He was discussing enforcing his own viewpoint that seat backs shall not be reclined upon the passenger seated in front of him. He is a bully an on internet forums bullies get told where to go an on airplanes they just get escorted off by the police.

You're assuming JAYB was only telling him to behave. He wasn't. Or put another way, if he was, then Haymarket need to review their moderation. Your language is appalling and your behaviour is needlessly aggressive - just because LucreLout is funnier than you isn't a reason for you to go running to the mods. "Don't start nothing and there won't be nothing" as they say in some decidedly b-movie gangster flicks.

Back on topic. I hardly think he'd get escorted off a flight for "enthusiastic gaming". I don't see that it'd be any more disruptive than my baby tapping away on the screen or kicking the seat back. I can minimise her doing it while the seat is upright, but when its reclined, I can't help you: After all, she's sat on my lap and you just reclined into her space.

Was it my spelling? hehe

Ok, clearly some of you are getting a tad upset so I'm off before I get reported to the mods again.

I'm clearly not the only one posting disrespectful comments, so hopefully the mods weren't suggesting that calling someone a is just fine.

Don't you use the eye-shades supplied in the bag full of useful items that the CSD brings you after you've made yourself comfortable?

Napoleon complex.

He was outraged the seat in front couldn't recline far enough to touch his short-arse French knees, thereby depriving him a reason to be outraged that the seat in front had reclined far enough to touch his proud Gallic knees.

I'm 6 ft 2.

I fly a bit (you have to fly to get anywhere outside of Australia)

I deal with the lack of comfort in economy because basically living with 8 hrs of discomfort means I can afford another weeks holiday.

Don't get why people have to be some aggressive over something so... meaningless.

Because they lack empathy with others, they don't really know how to behave around other human beings and they have an inflated sense of their own worth and entitlement.

Added to that, they are stuck in an aircraft, where they have little controll over anything, except possibly how far their and the seat infront, reclines.

It often doesn't take much for these angry morons to erupt.
