Boshly, have you heard/read Galloways comments he made about Israelis not being welcome in a Bradford - as if he had some God given right to dictate who should or should not be allowed to visit.

Now substitute Pakistani in that little rant and would you be inclined to refer to him as a racist/anti Semite ? In his defence though, such comments are willingly taken up by the village idiots who voted him in the first place.

Whilst not Jewish myself, I am alarmed as to just how critical/insulting people of a certain demograph are towards people of the Jewish faith and it really does illustrate the double standards we have in this Country towards anything which Is seen as anti Islamic and any other religion. Certainly from my perspective and having endured two separate Muslim riots in my home city of Bradford, I can't remember any such show of public intolerance by those of a Jewish, Sikh, Hindu or Buddhist faith.

t's how would we have reacted, sorry it's warranted seeing you picked on my lack of punctuation.

The majority of us are not ruled by our testosterone when we disagree with someone's world view.

Half the population will be in hospital by now.

That's why we use 'reason' and communication to either persuade people or disagree with them.

"They had it coming" is a poor excuse to break the laws of any civilised society, and as for the emotive example you gave, it's just as poor as "they had it coming".
Do you troll professionally or is it just a hobby?

Why are you following me from thread to thread and trying to pick an argument? I suspect you could have one all by yourself and don't need my assistance. Why not agree to just ignore each other. As I said in the other thread 10 mins ago, I will not be continuing this with you so please kyj dhe ves, there's a good boy.

I agree smile

People do seem to be rather scared of calling some things as they see them, whilst happily condemning others (in your case Israelis) out.... Selective bigotry is surely even worse than idiotic bigotry (yes, i know....)

One rule for all and prosecuting that rule of law fairly and equally is a principle that is surely worth fighting for? (Or arguing for in this case?)

Don't flatter yourself soldier boy. I do not do trolling, nor do I follow people around, but public fora are public hence me commenting as I have been commenting here before and as I will continue to comment in future.
Listen soldier boy, if people 'disagree' with you, they are not trolling. Don't confuse yourself and calm down dear!

It bugs me so much when people state anyone against Israel is anti semetic. Simple political attempt to deflect and bring religion into it.
It bugs me when a geezer gets so upset about semantics that he has to post about it on a forum.
Most people understand the common usage of anti Semitic .
If I wished to be pedantic I might comment that your first sentence is virtually unintelligible, but I don't,so I won't. smile
No I don't believe most people understand the common usage of anti semetic, thus my post and I don't feel its pedantic.

Secondly thanks for pointing out my somewhat unintelligible first sentence. Auto correct at its worst, and I shall correct it. I have no problem you pointing it out, in fact I find it rather helpful.

No if I'm honest I haven't. Doesn't change anything for me, from what I've garnered I disagree with his comments. This divisiveness is not going to achieve any happy ending. I admire GG for speaking the unspeakable (sometimes) and criticizing the Israeli government over their handling of the Palestinians. This has know relatively recently been 'allowed' thanks to people like GG highlighting the atrocities (the atrocities the other way have already been highlighted in our media).

I agree with you on your other point as well. I don't like it and think its childish/naive and destructive. I would far rather the Moslem people say "we detest what is happening in Gaza, but we welcome the regular Isralei people and those of Jewish faith stand by us to find a joint passive resolution to this mess.

I am an immigrant to this country and I am Christian (by birth) but that does not preclude me in anyway mixing and contributing to my current community whatever colour race or religion they may be (except for Man U fans of course!! wink ). And I believe I have contributed lots, it would be difficult to be distinguish me from a native Englishman in every way (whatever that may be) but I still retain my roots and some of my culture.

That's the answer, not slagging GG off or celebrating his assault or indeed the victims in both Israel and Palestine (not inferring that you have) and I truly hope we become a more mixed and international society with tolerance for each other's cultures whilst still respecting the ways of the country we live in.

The trouble is, all of the above is great ....... except for the existence of politics, power and oil and the wants of a few choice governments. And that brings us right back to square one, he who shouts loudest.

Mr Galloway's form of politics is divisive and corrosive and supports those that wish to divide communities.
I am a firm believer in trying one's best to bring different communities together, sometimes a naive wish, but nevertheless I think it is the best chance we have in the World today.
In my opinion he is in the same camp as the BNP.
Freedom of speech is the most powerful of weapons we have to fight extremists,it always saddens me when characters like Galloway abuse that freedom to spread hatred and prejudice.
I do not approve of him being physically attacked.
I fear such an attack will give him another platform on which to spread his odious opinions.
Agreed, since he incites bigotry and violence he has little grounds for complaint when that is how his targets respond. I'm all for free speach but we all have to be responsible for the consequences of actions those words incite.

Yes agree with the above however because he is such a self absorbed and cocky Teflon tt maybe a good slap might help him to consider how offensive and unpleasant so many of us find his opinions..

He was on the Jeremy Vine show the other week on radio 2, can't remember the topic but he was on against a Professor.

His attitude was "This so called professor", who ignored his remarks anyway. Just a bloody idiot.

And still more saddos come out of the woodwork approving of violence against someone whose words they disagree with.

If someone king-hit eg. Nigel Farage because they took offence at his comments on immigration, would that be ok too?

Is it ok to bash people for religious reasons or not?
