Hacked Celebrity Photos

Are you for real?!
The actress is famous for one massive, massive film franchise. That's it. Nothing more. Her 'exposure' (for want of a better term) to the wider public is that franchise and that alone.
Someone tells you that they have nude pictures of that actress. Which image immediately springs to mind? That you know her personally, that you've spoken to her, spent time with her? Know that she's a 24 year old woman with some fairly strong views of feminism?
Or that she's that little girl from those films you once saw?
Screw your fking head on straight.

Could you imagine if it was your wife/partner who got hacked-or your photos of them? How would YOU feel?
Does your wife/partner take pictures of their lady bits, save them to the cloud and have a weak password on their account? The point is it's something private that's been taken illegally, and many people seem perfectly happy partaking in viewing it with an apparent disregard to the feelings of those affected-or the fact they are basically stolen goods.

She looks more like Theon Greyjoys' sister from Game of Thrones....
and she's a munter too...
Emma Watson? Hardly a munter. She's incredibly pretty however not very 'sexy' if that makes sense. Not someone I'd go out my way to see nude. and she's a munter too...
I do have a lot of sympathy for the girls who've had their photos hacked.

For their entire professional lives they've had teams of people spending huge amounts of time, money and effort to get the imagine they want us to believe onto our screens and magazines, they've created media hype and excitement to complete with all the others stars so the rest of us are to think of them as special, the downside of this is that they give up anonymity, not that they want it of course - if any of them were honest, they tell you that the only thing worse than having your bits paraded about on the web, is being the one the hackers didn't bother with.
So poor old Jennifer Lawrence can sit blubbing about privacy, but that fact remains - if she wanted to she could remove herself from public life, take her $50m fortune and go live in peace somewhere and she'll soon be forgotten about, but I bet she doesn't.

With regard to Emma Watson and looking at her pictures, what if you never watched harry potter and only really noticed her recently, are you allowed to look at her and go "cor, I fancy a bit of that" or not ?
Not sure if that's a serious question? The point is that people will effectively hear 'that girl who played that girl in Harry Potter has been hacked'.
What I'm saying is, it's weird that people will actively seek out those pictures - being that, in all likelyhood, the only perception most people will have of the woman - who still looks very, very young - is of her as a little girl.
That I'm even having to argue this point, I find absolutely baffling.

Having looked at 4chan and reddit the age of the average poster seems to be (at best) early twenties. So they grew up with the Harry Potter girl as someone around the same age or older and they perhaps liked. So it isn't that weird. The point is that people will effectively hear 'that girl who played that girl in Harry Potter has been hacked'.

Now, if you are 40 ......

Celebrities are no different to anyone else in one respect, they should accept that their life choices come with downsides - we could plaster the web with pics of ourselves and no one would care, we wouldn't make the back page of Pornhub.

You just sound jealous to be honest. It's an illegal hack and not a downside the the job like maybe get shot is to a soldier.

I don't see why you think people should make enough money and then run and hide from the job they wanted.

I had a similar argument with someone about this regarding Jennifer Connely. I have always had a thing for her, and it stemmed from seeing her in labyrinth.
Someone took offence to this as she was only 13 or so when she made this. The point is I don't letch over her in Labyrinth now, I was about 8 when she made it, now she is about 40 odd, I am allowed to appreciate her in a sexual manner (i.e. find her very attractive) The fact I found her attractive when I was 8 and she was 13 is neither here nor there.
The same is true of Emma Watson, I don't find pictures of her when she was in harry potter attractive as she is a child, buty seeing her in Vogue etc now when she is 23/24 is perfectly acceptable.
If I saw a naked leaked picture of her from this year or last, this isn't a problem, however if the pictures of her were when she was 14-18 then I would not want to have such pictures or see them etc.
You aren't a paedophile if you fancy a women in the public eye just because she was most famous when she was 13 if she is now in her 30's.
I don't see this as a moral issue.
These people obviously thought it would never happen to them or their things were safe because it's "Apple." Its a well know fact deleting things in a normal way does not work and their is a specific method which they did not pay attention to. Millions of others are oblivious too. Its your personal information, for God' s sake.
Anyone is fair game in the "cloud". Your protection is only as good as the provider you choose. Best thing with that type of content is NOT TO!

I refer to the money side at the risk of stating the obvious not many people who have been affected by this, if any, need to carry on being a celebrity to feed themselves etc, if fame is suddenly so terrible, they can stop being famous relatively quickly by simply turning off the PR machine.
I'm no more jealous than anyone else if they're honest, I just think that like everyone they should accept the rough with the smooth - they've reached the top of an industry that literally millions of people try to break into, they can demand huge amounts of money for their efforts, have thousands of people scream their names if they and go to places 99.99% of the global population can't - but if they're foolish enough to take naked pictures of themselves and put them on the internet, don't be surprised if they're found they'll be carried around the world by the exact same force of momentum that got them where they are today.

Negative media attention / over zealous attention from 'fans' is a very obvious downside to being an actor / singer / celebrity however you want to call it - it EXACTLY like a solder being hurt, although despite the others bleat about it, it's not nearly as bad - it's an unintended consequence of someone's job / lifestyle.

I'm still not sure why you think illegal acts are just tough luck and because of the money such people make it something lesser. I refer to the money side at the risk of stating the obvious not many people who have been affected by this, if any, need to carry on being a celebrity to feed themselves etc, if fame is suddenly so terrible, they can stop being famous relatively quickly by simply turning off the PR machine.

Who else gets the tough luck act for suffering illegal acts in relation to what they earn ? Maybe smashing bankers in the face with a brick is OK ? Negative media attention / over zealous attention from 'haters' is a very obvious downside to being a banker , so maybe they should take the large sums have cash they have and go some place quiet and stop moaning ?
