I browsed the list on Reddit, I think I might be somewhat out of touch.
I can honestly say I do not recognise the names of 95% of those "celebs".
I am 40, is this lack of celeb knowledge a normal state of affairs or am I living in a cave ?
Yes me as well. Kirstin Dunst, yes. The others, no.I can honestly say I do not recognise the names of 95% of those "celebs".

The internet does appear to have gone into meltdown over this though ...
Was Dunst in a spiderman film ? the one with Toby Maguire ?
As to the others, nope, no idea what Lawrence has done, or the other one (that someone posted above) who's name has escaped me since I started typing this. I was trying to remember 3 names but lost one when I recalled toby Maguire's name.
fk this getting older bks.

The interesting question for me is where did the hack originate from? If its somewhere like China you can pretty much forget about anyone facing criminal proceedings for it.
Personally I think we as a society need better education when it comes to digital security. The average person from my experience doesn't fully understand what you put online isn't private anymore. Anyone can get hold of it if they want to no matter what security settings you have. So if you want to keep something private don't put it online or anywhere it could potentially be put online.

Yea, similar here. The internet does appear to have gone into meltdown over this though ...
Not sure who J-law is, my first thought was Jude Law so I didn't click any links... Dunst I remember, the only other one was Kaley Cuoco, and I doubt I've watched a full episode of Big bang theory anyway.
It reminds me of the kind of celebs that would just feature in some dodgy
"lad's mags" next to adverts for skinny red jeans and WKD blue.

Thing is, Jenn Lawrence looks stunning in her movies, great makeup and wardrobe, brilliant lighting and camera work, and probably really enhanced by computers.
In reality she's just another no so photogenic spotty youngster.....
Not going to live up to her screen images that's for sure......
Probably why she's so upset.....
She is quite "photogenic" in the pics. If you happen to have seen them. Which, of course, I haven't In reality she's just another no so photogenic spotty youngster.....

Interesting that there's been an 'underground' ring trading these things for a while, I guess we won't be seeing any more for a while as the people in the trading ring will go quiet in the hope their VPN/tor bits won't get traced back to them.

Heh, yes, it's between their ears, mainly.
Stupid me thought "Clue's in the name" on this subject. Apparently a fair few of my Apple loving friends aren't very happy. One of them was dating someone quite famous for a while but apparently those pictures have never made it off the original SD card!
I don't think kate upton will be pleased with some of the pictures as she has a strict non nude policy doesn't she?
if you look hard enough the pics are out there and have been in some cases for a month or so.
I'm no internet expert and yes this is an invasion of privacy no question but one should never ever assume somethinig is safe if stored on a PC or in a cloud or remote server or whatever and secondly, once its out there, its out there.
Even if the Law prohibits sharing or viewing or whatever the pics of J-law for example all now all over the place and impossible to control.
I'm not advocating it in anyway shape or form - the hacking that is, but the "woe is me" bit is just that, self pity for not being careful enough.
ETA - I'm not sure people should be posting links to 4chan etc on here.

If it was just topless or nude even, I doubt she'd care. Theres not a huge jump between tiny bikini and topless anyway.....but I'm pretty sure she does have a "non just had sex and yet to clean up" policy.Tiggsy said:
