Apologies if this has been asked before.

If the Scots do vote Yes, how will TV Licence work?

They will still receive the programmes, but as a separate country will not be under any obligation to buy a licence presumably?

Do you really believe Portugal Greece and Cyprus meet the criteria
Things have changed, then again iScotland could always cook the books like Greece did - look how well that turned out for them in the long run, a broke arsed nation with high unemployment that trades very little and no one cares about.

Coming to an iScotland near you soon in the event of a yes vote.

What makes you think that they'll still receive the programmes ? Transmitters & channels can be switched off, iPlayer can be IP restricted.

No thanks bill board got vandalised last night just outside my village.
Plus housing estate billboard has been covered in yes stickers. I'm sure they will be happy at that.

The yestapo know the games up for them, so are getting desperate now.
My fb has other people reporting yes vandalism elsewhere as well.

Roll on the NO vote!

Salmond has just said that IScotland will be able to borrow money at the same rates as rUK.

Righto.
Seems he is grasping at straws now. And if Scotland will be so rich with all that oil and gas, why will they need to borrow money?

I suppose to pay back their share of the national debt.

Slight O/T, is it currently restricted? eg Can I get iPlayer in Dubai or Singapore?

No, not unless you can bypass BBC software - is for UK viewers only

I admire your optimism, but I'm really not sure that it's desperation, nor am I all that convinced we're going to get a NO.
I'm a land rover owner, we are born to be optimistic! hehe

I'm still going 60-40. Yes are loud and shouting but they won't win it.

However, I've got a few possible job offers from Canada so even if yes win, I won't be here to watch it fall apart.

Not directly, but there are ways around it - ex-pat. VPNs work far too well wink (se PH fora for those regions for more info.)

On topic - Yestapo say this http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2756943/Ju... won't be necessary.

Ive been surprised that Sean Connery, who famously was all for scottish independence a while back. I would have thought he'd be a figurehead.

having said that, apparently ian Fleming will denounce James Bond's Scottish ancestry in the result of a yes win. Alan McNish already has...

Oh dear.......Welsh nationalists now jumping on the bandwagon - trying to stir up dissent.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-29217832

"....Jill Evans said the Barnett formula - which determines how public cash is distributed - is unfair to Wales."

"Wales loses out to the tune of £300m a year," said Plaid Cymru MEP Ms Evans, who is campaigning for a yes vote in Scotland."

Hang on a sec - loses out compared to whom? Wales gets about £1000 per head more than England gets on average.

She seems to be suggesting Wales should be getting what Scotland gets - and that it it unfair that they don't. But why should it work that way. It could equally be argued that spending in Wales should be brought in line with what England gets?

As usual - those who benefit most from the Barnett formula - complain loudest about it. F#cking hypocrites. rolleyes
