It's highly unlikely given the number of people voting - plus the number of people voting would have to be an even number.

One vote either way would be enough.
That should be fun if it's really close as no recounts are allowed (I read somewhere on BBC).
A full recount can not be initiated but each return can be recounted. All returns can be requested to be recounted, which rather makes a mockery of the first statement.

Yes Scotland needs more funding then northern England as we are feckless

Or do you believe you are more deserving?
No, I don't think devomax is workable, I think promises of it are a cynical con.

The Union is broken, I just hope we can end it neatly and humanely, today.
I just hope you are so happy when the Scottish government fail to pay benefit cheques

I'm sure I read "eligibility" was the only grounds for recount not a close result.

Edit - Found the wording on BBC
"Recounts will only be allowed at a local level and only on the basis of concerns about process, not the closeness of a result, according to Elections Scotland."

So burger voted no in the end lol and fluff cares not for the result unless it goes his way.

Devomax or whatever I suspect is on the table subject to mp's agreeing it which they won't if they want to be reelected so now we just wait an see.

By 7 am tomorrow I hope we have a resignation from one leader or another

Salmond will not be resigning, regardless of the result.

Don't worry, it'll be >62% NO.

You wait and see Fluffy.

In fairness, most people would let them have it! (apart from the race course).

In answer to other posters, wasn't it Frankie Boyle who said a couple of years ago that Mel Gibson had attained Scottish status - he'd become a racist drunk.

On a positive note, over here in Belgium the radio has been full of reports over the voting, interspersed with Scottish bands - with blasts from the past including Big Country and Marillion. Slightly disappointed not to hear Runrig!.

Ah, but who can forget their touching cover of Roud #9598 back in 1983:

"You take the acid, and I'll take the dope, and I'll be stony'd before you

For me, and my true love, and the Drugs Squad as well, on Bonnie, Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond"
