Aberdeenshire Salmond's territory emphatic No. Both Edinburgh and Aberdeen almost identical results which is a surprise.

A grandfather shot dead his daughter and her six children before taking his own life at a home in Bell, Florida, police have said.

The children range in age from three months to 10 years old, said Gilchrist County Sheriff Robert Schultz.

The authorities have identified the gunman as Don Charles Spirit, 51.

Schultz said a colleague responded to reports of a shooting on Thursday afternoon and on arrival made contact with Spirit before he killed himself.

Some got held up on the A9 by an accident.

Not sure what the excuse is for the other 4 though.

The whole map on BBC looks red (No) barr a couple of small dots. Yes was on the ropes from the start. 25 out of 29 areas so far is pretty impressive.

The Independence fox is shot for a decade to a quarter century at least I'd say. Based on these results I'd say Scotland would have to be much richer, or significantly poorer than the rUK for a majority to vote for Independence. I can't see any way in which Westminster would allow that situation to arise.
IMHO it's got to be punted beyond imaginable timespan. I don't want to ever go through this ste again.

fk that.
30 odd years,a generation seems fair enough to me, clearly you need some stability though.

Assuming Scotland and the rUK are subject to broadly similar tax and regulatory regimes, with the same currency, it's hard to see how they would fall out of step with each other economically in any significant way.

Don't think anyone is suggesting more money for Scotland.

More responsibility for choices, yes; money, no.

I'm glad it's quite a decisive win for the 'No' campaign rather than a wishy washy one which would create arguments regarding counts etc. Scotland has spoken, I just hope the 'yes' campaign now respects that and moves on.
