There's a post on the Yes Scotland page about Miliband supposedly reneging on devo max that says at the end:
"If they gave us more powers then everywhere in the UK would demand the same."
So much for fairness and equality! God forbid everyone should be treated the same

I consider hereditary office obscene.
Ditto theological claims to legitimacy.
Nah, it's too easy. You're about 3 steps away from FotL woooo territory now.
(and section 3 of the Treason Felony Act is current)
Ahm oot noo.
The debate leading up to the referendum (note, NOT election) was interesting, but now it's becoming silly and degenerating into baiting and mockery in places.
Some would be well advised to look up the classic definitions of madness.

As I suspected the yes supporters simply won't accept the result and move on and try and work together to make Scotland better. They would much rather moan, gripe and whinge. As has been said on here before if it had been a yes the rest of us would have had to accept that and try and get on with life and had no chance of another vote ever.
So I say to the nationalists, you lost, if your campaign had been honest and decent and had had a economic plan that wasn't an absolute joke you might have stood a chance. But the will of the Scottish people has been heard, so accept the result like adults and move on. You might not like it, but a huge number of us wouldn't have liked a yes, but that's democracy for you. So stop trying to create more problems, stop whining about the past, stop blaming others for problems in Scotland and accept that we already have the powers to change Scotland for the better. We won't though if we spend the next twenty years arguing, fighting over who voted what and trying to get another vote. All that will do is destroy our future, push investment away from Scotland and leave all of us angry and bitter.
We need to build some bridges with the rest of the UK, a lot of things have been said over the last two years which will take a long time to be forgotten. So nationalists lose the chip on the shoulder, stop blaming everyone else for your problems and learn we have got a voice in the UK, but we don't need to scream in other peoples faces to be heard.

Otherwise you'll just have to suck it up & be miserable here, because this place isn't changing any time soon.
Enjoy.

Why can't anyone tell me what these powers are?
I've read the pledge and it sounds like the Scotland act to me!
To paraphrase another poster a couple of pages back - the details are to be negotiated after the vote........ I've read the pledge and it sounds like the Scotland act to me!

Bit gutted, moving on...
There's a facebook group called "We are the 45%" it already has over 89,000 members, we're not going back in the box!
It's the settled will of the Scottish people though Fluffnik. There's a facebook group called "We are the 45%" it already has over 89,000 members, we're not going back in the box!
You need to accept it, sit down and shut up. I would hazard a guess that you will never see an independent Scotland in your lifetime - your countrymen have made their feelings abundantly clear.

Well the fights have started, we knew whoever won it would happen.
There are now fb groups called "the 45" and "the 55"
So basically, we now have people who refuse to accept the democratic will of Scotland because it didn't go their own way.
The fact I have 19 "friends" on the 45 saddens me as half of them were always the first to shout out a yes vote is final and that's that.
fking idiots the lot of them. Both sides.
This will get ugly before it gets remotely better.

But sure, lots of unemployed people voted Yes, just as lots of old folks who trust the Beeb and people with marginally affordable maxed out credit voted No.
I've mislaid the source (Ashcroft?), but it seems ABs and DEs tended to Yes, Cs to No.
If you don't understand the question feel free to ask anyone of your previously mentioned fellow 'yessers'But sure, lots of unemployed people voted Yes, just as lots of old folks who trust the Beeb and people with marginally affordable maxed out credit voted No.

Edit to add: I realise it concerns data and suchlike - the veritable sunshine of the vampire 'yes' cause, but still don't fear the reality.
