1.6 million of us are going to make sure the Union gets the blame for everything, even on the odd occasion it's blameless.
And there it is. Independence achieved through lies and deception.
That's not what I meant, I meant, persuade people to presume that the state is lying until proven otherwise, rather than trusting it by default.

There is increasing evidence that the night before the poll BT were systematically lying to pensioners and Poles regarding their pensions and residency status respectively. These people are not pleased...

I think that warrants being displayed:

According to xjsdriver, 'no' voters didn't have internet access and were therefore lied to by mainstream media. Those poor kids hehe

Ah but how many No voters were left handed or had a missing limb. WTF does it matter the NO vote got the verdict.Maybe the SNP will introduce culling of all 60 year olds before the next referendum.

Not left handed but I am missing a limb(below knee right leg) :-) I know of two other amps who voted No and none that voted yes but I guess 3 is not a great sample size !

TBH I am actually partly inclined to vote Scottish Labour in 2016 as the Tory vote isn't strong enough up here and my vote is a bit wasted, but if enough vote labour for Scotland it may kill the SNP as they only have a majority of 1 seat at the moment, and getting shot of them would be my aim. I can live with Scottish Labour over the SNP.

GE wise I will still vote for Tories, however Milliband's house building promise was nice to hear, but I am a cynic, GF is still a socialist mind frown
I was under the impression that the SNP had Scottish National Party had done remarkably well to gain any majority, in a system set up to make over all majorities unlikely. The number of seats are as follows: SNP - 64, Scottish Labour - 38. Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party - 15. Scottish Liberal Democrats - 5. Scottish Green Party - 2. Independent - 3. No Party Affiliation - 1. Total number of MSPs 128. In fact, I'd go as far to say that I expect quite a lot less Labour and Tory seats after the Scottish election.

It's a start and you will now be a target in the next campaign. Just at least try to use your left hand a bit more.

Why?

It was a vote for Yes not a vote for the SNP - I have vague memories of some bloke called Alex spending a lot of time telling everyone that...

Good point! My pet Yessers continually spouted that we could very well have a Conservative Gov't at the next election.

Seems they don't think that's the case.

So many goalposts moving all at the same time.

Why won't it all go away?!?!?!

Interesting that this thread has, unsurprisingly, fallen off the top-tier of PH NP&E topics, as other more pressing matters come to the fore - obviously our more vociferous Nat chums are trying to keep it on the boil, but the truth is that the wind has well and truly been taken out of their sails.

Collectively, the PH Nats have lost their spirit, their vision, their Mojo. Despite their occasional bursts of outrage, you can sense the energy draining away.

When trying to describe their gentle descent into forum obscurity, I'm reminded of a very treasured icon from my youth, so if I may....

The referendum was apolitical..... totally different to a party election.

If only.

This thread, (and the volumes preceding it), are pretty much testament that the ridiculous ideology of those who crave 'Scottish Independence' is tantamount to disaster.

I've shared this/these thread/s with some but I've had little/no feedback. I can only assume that they dare not enter into real debate for fear of rebuttal.

So the state is also the scottish government

So i can say they are also lying?
The presumption that the state or any other vested interest is, in the general case, lying, is wise.

A trusting population is an exploited population...

Well it's certainly true to say that the SNP was lying in its attempt to get independence, incredible the way they promoted things like an approach to the currency that they were clearly going to fail to deliver.

55% of us believed Salmond and Sturgeon to be lying. Which they were.

The choice of name for this group on Friday was simply made to bond distraught Yes voters in unity. In my mind, I was thinking along the line of the Occupy movement with their 'We are the 99%' motto.
Ah, Occupy. Another minority bunch of obnoxious morons with no chance of success.

I keep saying this but you are pig ignorant - you can only say that about the Union parties after Burns night which is the timescale of the vow.

SNP however they made a promise that on Friday of result say regardless of outcome they would fully support it and rebuild the divides in the country. Vile liers.
