If your name was Duncan, it's a helluva coincidence as the name was in reference to the "diving in" comment (Duncan Goodhew, you know the bald swimmer)

Any forum I've been on, it's considered bad form to use first names unless the person has expressly posted it themselves or it's in their profile

So where did you find my christian name from if you don't mind?

You can PM me if you're shy

And for the umpteenth time I'm nothing to do with any poster that more than a few seem to have an issue with, paranoid much

Quite a random swimmer to choose - interesting that you chose Duncan. I've never heard that alliterative phrase before.

I didn't find your name.

I never said you were anything to do with any other poster. Paranoid, much!?

Is that why there's no major Royal Navy Patrol ships in Scottish Waters, they can't find it on the map?

Embarrassingly enough for the MOD, the Russians could
Right enough, no major surface warships (though one could be sent if need be). If only we had some sort of vessel that could, I don't know, lurk under the waves and observe from relatively close quarters.

The entire point of having your under the water type vessels with nasty weapons and stealth technology is that Johnny Foreigner can't find them and get close to them to work out how the stealth technology works. So they can't be detected.

You keep them well out of the way of such fripperies.

What independent Scotland, the vote was NO you daft bint.
Daft indeed.

Childish, immature, belligerent, ignorant, divisive, undemocratic...
...and about as two faced as anybody could possibly get.

She should have been rushed into the nearest London hospital to have the chip removed from her shoulder while we had the chance.

To be fair, he doesn't fit the profile. Viperpict wasn't Lanarkshire based with an interest in hi-fi.

I thought he was the sectarian one, not the viper one, now using the name of a saint that fought for those wrongly accused.

The oil revenue is just a small part of the total of the Scottish economy, which is why Scotland pays more in tax per capita..... but I guess you don't see the relevance.....just boring details to you.

Bored, sat at work, last week so we're not up to much, thought I'd come back on this and see what was being said.

Wow, just wow. We're never going to hear the end of this from these nationalist morons are we?

There was a big vote a while ago to gauge the settled will of the Scottish people, you might of heard of it, I think it was on the news.

It was a resounding victory for common sense.

55% No 45% Yes.

Now you lot have to accept the result as the settled will of the scottish people and do us all a favour and stop damaging our country by continuing this charade. I'll even get my newspaper out and hit you on the nose.

NO, NO, 'whack' BAD HUMAN. Now go and sit in the corner and think about what you have done while the adults continue working towards making the UK a better place.

Jesus fking wept.

hehe you are classic.

The problem is that oil was not a small part of the Scottish economy, but it's rapidly becoming so with nothing to replace it. Instead of being something that the SNP were going to both spend in huge quantities and save at the same time it's also rapidly becoming an income source that no longer exists.

Fortunately the UK economy is large enough to cope and also benefit from the reduction in price, be grateful to the common sense of the people of Scotland to remain as part of the UK and be able to remain as part of the larger economy.

He's probably the most recognisable swimmer in the UK (other than maybe Tom Daly) so hardly interesting, just coincidence that you both share a common 1st name

After seeing some subsequent posts I have an inkling that you where given my name by equally odious creeps

How many days did it take for the subs to find the Russians?

And why is the UK going cap in hand to NATO for spotter planes, if the UK stealth subs are patrolling the country?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you do know that the SNP, you know that mob that run Scotland, they are kind of fixed on getting independence, it's kinda their raison d'etre, so unless you're suggesting they should disband.........

It's approx 16% of Scotland's GDP, so in the grand scheme of things it's not the basis of the economy albeit it's an important one

Yep can't disagree there

However

They are ignoring running scotland and are entirely focused on getting away from english control

As we scots are too wee and too stupid to succeed without being under direct control from brussels and there is no chance that we could succeed while being in the UK
