I see the nats are still trying to make it seem as though it is Scotland v England. I don't understand why they have such difficulty acknowledging that it is Scotland v Scotland. I'm a scot and I voted No, I would again.
As they don't think you are scottishhttp://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php/topic/...

Not all nationalists are "left wing" nor indeed are they all "idiots".
I see very little evidence to back that particular statement upAs the evidence shown on this forum is they are exclusively lefty idiots
Independence is still a large and current issue regardless of any apparent reduced "ground-roots" campaign evidence.
Oil price falls have dented enthusiasm, as has disappearance of Salmond who was a much more effective politician than Sturgeon, but the fact that the SNP are campaigning so hard for the Westminster elections with the intention of seeking another early referendum makes things clear enough to me that this has not gone away.
I am genuinely surprised that house prices seem to be recovering as in my mind there are enough doubts about the short to medium term future to make people wary of paying inflated prices for somewhere to live.

I have seen many many idiots saying no true scot would vote NO

I wish that was true round here. The stickers are back up (YES version 2.0), they are still holding regular meetings, it is still regularly mentioned in letters in the local paper, the 45ers still have that on their facebook pages and of course the SNP keep dropping hints about another referendum. So I wish it would go away and I regularly wish this thread would be locked, but the truth is for a lot of us it is still going on. It is clear the SNP are trying to get as many seats at Westminster to stir up trouble and try and get another vote, so just because people you know aren't talking about it doesn't mean all this nonsense has gone away.
I would hardly say trying to win more seats as a movement to 'stir up trouble'. If ANY other party get more seats than last time, are they trying to stir up trouble?Snp want to give Scotland a bigger voice at the top table. Is that so bad? Or is it the 'elite' trying to dump on the 'minority' again?

So they won't be going for a referendum next year then?Snp want to give Scotland a bigger voice at the top table. Is that so bad? Or is it the 'elite' trying to dump on the 'minority' again?
They managed a referendum last year with x number of mps darn sarf so I doubt any more mps wud be required former t to happen again, but another referendum may be on the cards in the next 5-10 years I would say, if not sooner, but that's by the by... But still that doesn't really reply to my previous post, just a Britnat bnp ukip sound bite...

I fully agree that people shouldn't be speaking on your behalf. As the evidence shown on this forum is they are exclusively lefty idiots
However, why do you feel you are the voice for everyone else and can speak for the majority of others when your opinion in so small?
You are speaking on the behalf of millions based of your experience of "many". How many is many?
I'm guessing many is actually very, very few in the grand scheme of things.
I thought is was 55% of people who voted no. Are you just speaking on behalf of those who didn't vote and assume they would have said no? Ever consider than many people just couldn't be bothered with the vote and couldn't care less?
I've honestly never read anyone post as much ste as yourself.
I guess you think all Scottish people are ginger, wear kilts and all permanently have a bottle of Whisky in their hand?
Your opinions and facts are delusional. As I've said before, you are basing your facts on such a tiny proportion of people, then using your prejudices and stupidity to make up the rest. Then when the case is reversed, you don't like it.
Maybe you could stop speaking on behalf of so many people based on what you have read on the internet, or maybe a few dozen car stickers.
You live is a very dark little cupboard it seems.
You'd be better getting a hobby or something that spilling your tripe over the Internet every day. I'm told knitting is quite relaxing.

Anyone want to have a play with this to calculate what £400k in 1707 would be worth today given the attached link re UK BOE base rates.

I never said 55% that voted NO
I am saying that 64% did NOT vote to leave
care to challenge my maths?
And i know quite well what the scottish people are like as i live up here presently
Just there is growing minority who are face painted left wing idiots
They are probably a few tiny percent and fking loath them with a passion
I firmly belive the majority of YES voters were just pissed off with westminister and believed the st from those aholes in the SNP as they never questioned a word of it due to a lack of critical thinking
They have got on with life
s like arp1 above can't and never will and i take the piss as they are basically morons

I had a read of the political section of that site. Its fairly toxic, mainly pro yes although there are quite a number of yes voters who are clearly fed up of the on going situation.Still, it makes you realise why so many people voted yes. The lack of clear information, counter arguments and decent debate. Without this, people honestly believed that Scotland would be the land of milk and honey. Free of poverty, hunger and political corruption.
But then I guess we all know who the more vocal of the two sides were/are and that social media was key in the referendum.

More sensationalist drivel eh Wibbles? I see some things never change. Who said anything about wanting to end your way of life? You should take up writing children's books, your sense of imagination knows no bounds. You could write about saintly St George talking up tales of derring-do with the Lion Rampant. Or perhaps tales of a wicked queen, whose son murders his princess, so he can marry a horse...... It won't go away
