"• The Ambassador also had a truncated meeting with the FM (FM running late after a busy Thursday…). Discussion appears to have focused mainly on the political situation, with the FM stating that she wouldn’t want a formal coalition with Labour; that the SNP would almost certainly have a large number of seats; that she had no idea ‘what kind of mischief’ Alex Salmond would get up to; and confessed that she’d rather see David Cameron remain as PM (and didn’t see Ed Miliband as PM material). I have to admit that I’m not sure that the FM’s tongue would be quite so loose on that kind of thing in a meeting like that, so it might well be a case of something being lost in translation."

Prove or retract readit
What she said is in the links, have you read them?

It is a civil service record, and it was later confirmed it was all done in English, so not lost in translation. It could be a mistake, but seems highly unlikely from how it is reported.

Interesting that the French EU affairs minister won't touch her with a bargepole. Make no mistake, that is what is meant.

Seems she thinks she could shoot her mouth off with the French, and rely on the aude alliance, too ignorant of the actual diplomatic processes of record keeping.

The French clearly see how toxic she is and their EU minister is having none of it.

Lets think about this

One of the main themes of you oppression is you never get the government you vote for (apart from 13 years of labour but we shall ignore that)

Now if you get Alex Salmond as deputy prime minster with half of the governments ministers then that argument disappears in a puff of logic (not that logic has ever stopped you lot before)

If you get a tory party government with no input from scotland then you can scream oppression and demand another referendum

Play your cards right and you can make the english hate us and big business fk off down south and you can have the dream of an independent scotland with no big businesses and everyone equal

Equally poor

Or it was an incorrect fourth hand account, since denied by all involved. hehe

Interesting to see how concerned/frightened/worried people are about the "threat" posed by Ms Sturgeon after her performance at the leaders' debate the other night.

Lets put it this way

Imagine you own a Aston martin

I hate aston martins more then anything in the whole world

I can't walk past one without keying it and kicking the wing mirrors off

Every time i see one in a car park i drive into the side of it

If no one is around i will set fire to any Aston martin I see

My dream is to ram one into a wall

Would you give me the keys to your aston martin?

Of course we are worried.

History shows is the electorate is capable of putting some very undesirable characters in power.

Looks like Wee Jimmy Krankie has called for an official inquiry about how the Foreign Office leaked a memo reporting her conversation about wanting Cameron to win the GE with the French Ambassador.

That would be the conversation she denies happened then? Riiiiiight.

I seem to remember Herr Salmond had the small issue of lying about discussions(about EU membership IIRC) that did not actually happen..

So it's not as if the SNP don't have form (just like all politicians), even though The Converted take her and her parties word as gospel..

It's interesting to see that many supporters of the nationalist parties (SNP, UKIP, those Welsh folks) have a such a strong belief culture, where deviation from the path is severely frowned upon. I don't think the 'mainstream' parties have that, at least to no where near that extent. I think I prefer it that way.

You mentioned you were not in the UK and did not get a Scottish vote yet you love the nationalist. Re latest revelations the SNP have a history of lying to there voters so I can see this just being par for the Course. Frankly I could care less the snp lost the referrendum and can't have another unless westminster vote for it which no other party wants so it'd pretty much over for them long term.

Salmond was caught lying twice on this.

The second time was during the Dimbleby interview just before the referendum. Most papers didn't pick up on it though.
