The thing is the majority of Yesers actually do think they 'will always get the Government they vote for'.

They are actually stupid enough to deny the way that a) democracy, and b) arithmetic, works.
Going to be some very disappointed people if Scotland goes Independent. Only have themselves to blame though.

Dub,
No one ever told this people that the referendum is for the RIGHT to start negotiations, not really anything else for the moment but my simple question is:
WHO will negotiate of my behalf? Alex the Fish? biggrin NO THANK YOU

...One of the "sure" points of the Yes campaign is that we(Scotland) will get the pound...
While Mark Carney has assured him they won't. wink

This is one of many reasons why I will vote NO, this whole campaign is so sectarian it makes me sick.

It is about the future of Scotland not about Catholics, Protestants, England, Ireland or anything else that all the morons are throwing in.

NO, all the way.

Well if this poll is anything to go by (and to be fair probably as good as any other) yes voters are in for a shock tomorrow....

I'm, 50% welsh, 25% irish and 25% english, and i've lived in England all my life

I hope they vote yes. Self determination is a good thing, and frankly i'm tired of the protestations of victim-hood.

One thing i dont understand is the North Sea Oil argument - 95% of it is in Scottish waters, let them have it, it's theirs.

And besides, England has the third largest shale gas reserve in the world in the North West - it's twice the size of the US reserves and a hundred times the significance of the North Sea, even if only 10-20% of it is recoverable

I guess the argument to that is, If they weren't in the UK they wouldn't have had the money to develop it like we have.

If Scotland splits it's not really fair or right for the UK to have spent all that money and not get anything back for it.

Off-topic of course, but I'd be interested to see your evidence of this. According to the BGS no-one has a clue how much is recoverable until extensive test fracking takes place.

We (the UK taxpayer) didnt spend the money, we made money. All the State does is offer tax incentives, and sell licenses, it's private capital that invests
