So England gets to decide does it op? What about Wales? And NI? Ffs England, England, England this is why Scotland went for this in the first place.
In population terms, Scotland is just a very large city. Wales a big city. NI a big city.Giving any of them more power than Birmingham just isn't democracy.
It's not England, England, England as much as it is fairs' fair. Majority rule.

I'm of the opinion if the whole of the UK had voted yesterday, Scotland would be an independent country this morning!
Personally I think a Westminster SE/rUK split would be more popular in rUK than losing Scotland, but we'll never know. I can't see why the rUK would want to lose oilfields, Trident base (though Southampton/Portsmouth wouldn't mind, I'm sure) and general access to the far north, even at the cost of a few million "whiners".The fact of the matter is that there are some idiot Scots who hate the English because of history, and some idiot English who hate the Scots because they don't understand economics.
The UK would be better off losing both groups but we can't, so the only option is to crack on and make the best of it.
