Blair has been spouting that it is time to send in ground forces. I'm glad he is no longer in charge of this country.

My brothers next door neighbour is drone operator. SHE has engaged the enemy in Afghanistan.

The downside is that they don't know it was a girl that did the deed, they are therefore for disappointment when the virgins don't turn up.

Are we that much different as a society? I would have real trouble hitting a woman who was attacking me, but no trouble hitting a guy.

If I had a gun in my hands and a woman in my sights in a combat situation I'm not sure I could pull the trigger. I would prefer to run away than kill a woman.

I think the bit about virgins is more likely to be the journalistic explanation that would have the most impact, and therefore sell the most papers.

That's positive discrimination, you disgusting misogynistic pig!

Be a good chap and kill more girls.

(Does this read more, or less insane than the subject covered in the original article?)

Did anyone spot this line in the report?

"slayed a number of these fighters, who would then run away. "

Bloody tough these extremist fighters smile
I did read that line 3 times. Then I came to the conclusion that they are fighting zombie jihadists.

why don't we get the blokes to wear kilts....hang, on, why don't we get the gilrs to wear kilts.....?

or send the romanian female cycling team - give them an M16 and send them off to fight..."here I am killing you, and look, you can nearly see my vagina whilst I do it...."

No he hasn't.

Although it's not entirely clear what he is saying: at some point it might be necessary to send in somebodies ground troops, is about it. Those might be Iraqi or Kurdish troops (I thought they were already there?) or perhaps there may be a role for special forces.

Isis was not a love Goddess, unless you count uxoriousness as love.

He's surprisingly clear that it should be western forces "if necessary"

Its clear to me what he's saying - western troops on the ground may be needed.

Our beloved Middle East peace envoy really should just crawl back under that rock he's been living under and shut the fk up. Does he have no shame?

This is great stuff, and the air forces involved should make a point of using their female pilots and letting the loons know this. Maybe drop some leaflets to say "hi, today you are being bombed by Sally".
Together with leaflets with SuBo's piccie - reminding the men that some (quite a lot of) virgins look like her.......imagine the terror on their faces!!!! laugh

Maj. Mariam Al Mansouri, 35, is a squadron commander piloting an F-16 Block 60 fighter jet likely among those dropping munitions this week in coordinated attacks against Islamic State strongholds near Raqqa, Aleppo and Idlib.

Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar also provided support, logistics and aircraft in the strikes against the terrorists.

Al Mansouri, an Abu Dhabi native who holds an undergraduate degree in English literature, was among the first women to join the UAE Air Force academy when it finally allowed female members and she graduated in 2008, The National of UAE reported.
