This is great stuff, and the air forces involved should make a point of using their female pilots and letting the loons know this. Maybe drop some leaflets to say "hi, today you are being bombed by Sally".

Maj. Mariam Al Mansouri, 35, is a squadron commander piloting an F-16 Block 60 fighter jet likely among those dropping munitions this week in coordinated attacks against Islamic State strongholds near Raqqa, Aleppo and Idlib.

Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar also provided support, logistics and aircraft in the strikes against the terrorists.

Al Mansouri, an Abu Dhabi native who holds an undergraduate degree in English literature, was among the first women to join the UAE Air Force academy when it finally allowed female members and she graduated in 2008, The National of UAE reported.

Whilst it's lovely to think that this could be the golden bullet, you're all rather missing the point.

The believers are manipulated by made up stories. So if this becomes a problem they'll just change the story slightly.

Looks like the family aren't fans of her mission, rather unsportingly favouring ISIS/IS/Islamic whatever.

Indeed. And what is this bit about..?

Article says said:
If true, the statement won't represent the first time the Mansouri family has been linked to extremism.

In January this year high-profile lawyer Mohammed al-Mansoori was jailed for allegedly trying to set up an 'international' branch of the controversial Muslim Brotherhood in the UAE, according to the BBC.

That would probably explain it.

Or through the cloud of excitement/rage/general befuddlement, which envelops everyone working at the Mail, no one noticed anything as minor as the fact that the names are spelled differently when they cobbled the article together...

Having said that, transliteration of Arabic names is not standardised. There are about 87 billion ways to spell Mohammed, for example. Still Daily Mail BS, I reckon.

Pretty obvious the Mail just searches online for stories and then prints them if they fit with their agenda.
Seems the original sauce of the story can be found here

Mansour's quite a common name in the UAE.
