Councils are pursuing poll tax cheats who voted for the first time in two decades in Scotland's independence referendum.
Not sure about this one.

They've been cheating the system & freeloading. They've been caught. They're being chased for what they owe.Not sure about this one.
What's to be unsure about? If they don't pay their share, we have to pay extra to cover them. fk'em.
Why the need to for them to register to be able to pursue them ? How hard is it to catch up with someone in a tiny country like Scotland if they owe money ? I keep hearing about how state surveillance is so sophisticated that nothing is private now days, blah blah blah, yet with all that power they can't find out where someone is now, despite the fact they will have driving licences and half a hundred other things with names and addresses.
is there not a phares that goes "no taxation without representation". So basically if you want to change things and be heard you have to put your money where your mouth is. Seems a lot of people wanted change but not to have to pay for that.....hard luck especailly as more than 2 million people did not agree with you.
