On the other hand thanks to the much debated tie-up with the polish group, they will also provide about £1m a year to UKIP whose primary aim is to at least partially break up the EU- and that £1m is just within the UK, rather than the £2m across EuropeWhereas if UKIP ever succeed in getting into power, I doubt they would ever fund a group to promote re-joining the EU.
Personally I would like to see all such types of funding be abolished, but I can't see that happening any time soon

You make it sound like only the EFD group are getting any money - they all are and lots of it and probably with the thought that there never would be such a strong anti EU group. Wouldn't surprise me if they change the rules some time soon.

New poll from Rochester & Strood, the 271st most Ukip-friendly seat:
UKIP 43
CON 30
LAB 21
LD 3
GRN 2
Ooof, Dave said he would go all out two win this by-election this will be three defeats on the trot for him, grey suits will be circling like vultures. UKIP 43
CON 30
LAB 21
LD 3
GRN 2
Serves him right.
This poll was after the Tory blitz of the constituency for their primary!
Secondly it's by ComRes. Remember my last criticism of the last poll by Survation where said that the actual poll may be closer as they'd included the 2010 did not votes.
Well ComRes usually don't do that. Not seen data yet but might be eating my words with a big helping of humble pie.
In short 'kinell and can now see why a ton of money has just gone on UKIP to win.

I keep hearing Grant Shapps telling us that Miliband might get in by the back door, and thats not something you want so vote Tory. Do the Tory's have any positive reasons why I should vote for them, rather than just keeping someone else that I don't really want out?
How about a cast iron guarantee with regards to a vote on the Lisbon Treaty?Again.....
Or what I think.

What are the chances that if UKIP win the Rochester & Strood by election, CameronEd Miliband will say over immigration (for about the 100th time), "OK, I get it" - and then proceed to do nothing else but what he's done in the past (to great effect.....)
The EU want another £1Bn from us... http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/526193/EU-politic...

Absolutely, they want change, they don't want Exit. Whether that will alter if we can't get change remains to be seen but what it says is that the current government's approach is more popular than the UK EXIT under any circumstances or Labour's no change strategy.
Yep and I think that in the event of a Labour or Lib-Lab coalition taking us closer or making moves to do so will end up in them being punished in the polls as this would be the wrong thing to do and the people know that. One thing is for sure that I think there will be subtle (and not so subtle) changes to the electoral, parliamentary and governmental systems in the next parliament if either the Tories or Labour win a majority.
If its the Tories it will be English devolution (by excluding the scots & Welsh from voting on English issues) and boundary changes to balance up the constituency sizes (and maybe a reduction in the number of MPs). If its Labour it will be Devolution within England of power to metropolitan councils - which will lock down all the major cities that are mostly Labour governed.
The more I look at what's going on it seems clear to me that actually it really does matter who wins in May for these reasons. Nobody is talking about it but it seems pretty obvious that the next evolution of politics in this country is about locking the other guys out. Blair started it & if Miliband gets the chance to finish it we will be fked for a long time to come. The idea that a Labour Gov't would just swan along for 5 years waiting for the right to get stronger & take them down in 2020 is naïve at best.
“Once something becomes a European law, it is the European Commission themselves who have the sole right to propose repeal or change of that legislation.”
“The means by which the European Commission makes law and holds law is actually the very enemy of the concept of democracy itself, because it means in any member state there is nothing the electorate can do to change a single piece of European law.”
Staggering isn't it!

The extraordinary number of foreign criminals hiding in Britain was dramatically revealed yesterday after police arrested more than 700 suspects travelling on our roads in just 48 hours.
As a row raged over a report which showed the £1billion-a-year failure of successive governments to guard Britain’s borders, police launched the biggest-ever blitz on overseas offenders, rounding up 1,687 suspects in two days.
Using number plate recognition technology to spot foreign-registered vehicles potentially associated with criminal activity, police stopped 2,304 cars, arresting 729 immigrants.
They include gangsters and thugs wanted in their own countries for crimes such as human trafficking, robbery, fraud, drug smuggling, assault and domestic abuse

The arrest of all these criminals begs the question, why were they not arrested before? Why were they not stopped from coming into the country in the first place,“The means by which the European Commission makes law and holds law is actually the very enemy of the concept of democracy itself, because it means in any member state there is nothing the electorate can do to change a single piece of European law.”
