People trafficking is people trafficking, it doesn't matter where they are going. That this is even vaguely politicised is pretty ugly at best.
I always understood 'trafficking' to mean 'trading in'; c.f. drug trafficking. For the act of moving people around to be described as 'trafficking', I would expect some manner of exploitation of these people to be part of the deal, whether it be prostitution, some other form of direct forced labour, or extortion by blackmail.
Moving someone from Kent to Paris for a fairly low, one-time fee would not seem to fit this description.

Funny how UKIP with only, very recently, one MP are now leading the political debate.

He's about a year older than me. My views on the EU have changed several times over the years.
Did you listen to anything Douglas Carswell had to say about Cameron's plan for the referendum?

He wants us staying in, and will engineer just the right amount of token concessions to ensure the vote goes his way.

Spectator piece arguing that it's not just UKIP causing Cameron (and Labour?) to change their minds about border control. Which is a bit of a smarmy way of saying UKIP are sort of right to raise this.

link

Then a short piece from the door knockers in Middleton despondently saying there are no longer any safe seats.

Does that mean that we will stop trading with Europe and they will disappear if we leave the EU?

The current security situation in Sweden is actually a cover for drills to create a naval blockade between the UK and the RoE in the event of our departure.

That's ok....we will just have to use our new found powers of independence and negotiate some trade deals with the rest of the world then.

Depends on how it is measured of course.

The "Green" table makes interesting reading to a layperson like myself.

eta if UK & Germany pulled out of the 28 and formed a partnership we would be 3rd behind the US & China....now there's a thought wink

Article: Mirancea was jailed for seven years

Can't you get less for killing someone these days?

Was this really "people trafficing", or was it more like an unlicensed taxi service?

The clients seem to have been quite willing to pay £70.00 for the trip.

We are 10th on buying power but would go 4th below India if we joined Germany in a partnership.

The growth table doesn't say..... not my field really so could have it all wrong.

Not my field either, but happy with top 10, and no more. Best stay small, independent and nimble. smile

On a more PH related note... I've done my bit to upset the Green party and pick up my 4L Jeep lunchtime tomorrow.

And on a similar note, I plan to have my 3.6 straight 6 upgraded to 4.3 within the next couple of months - and perhaps have de-cats, too. hopefully, the extra Co2 will stave off global cooling for a while longer....
